Unique blending of online and personal coaching available now!
Want to improve those run or bike times? GRT is offering something unique. Some companies offer online coaching with pre-set plans and others offer expensive one-on-one coaching. Hey, we love one-on-one coaching, it gets our clients the fastest and best results; however, for the vast majority, every dollar counts. That is why we are now offering a blended training system. Over the course of three or four personal visits, we will perform some baseline testing and physical readiness assessments. After that, we will provide the workouts via email and/or phone with conversations on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Once a month we will redo the performance baseline testing to be sure you are on pace to reach your goals. Many variables will be customized whether you feel you need more personal attention and accountability or you want to go most of it alone. Call for your free consultation! Scott 661.803.2468

Our own Kalyn English off to another great racing year!
While most 17 year old girls are more worried about hair, makeup, boys and general social issues such as who is dating who, Kalyn worked hard and placed third in the Xterra World Championships in Maui, Hawaii. Her hard worked paid off when she was showcased on the hour long CBS Sports Spectacular in January.
This 2006 season Kalyn won the Xterra Western Regional Championship in her age group and earned a slot to the Xterra World Championship this October. Her time in this year's race at Temecula was even faster than last years eventual winner of the World Championship so barring injury, she is a favorite this year. Currently she holds the Xterra age group number one world ranking. Look for great things from her as she continues to be one of the hardest working and most disciplined athletes on the roster. Keep up the good work Kalyn!

English garners her first major overall win in Xterra!
While everyone here at Get Real Training knew Kalyn Englsih was off to a great year and expected great things in her age group, Kalyn has exceeded all expectations! Earlier this month at the Snow Valley Xterra triathlon, Kalyn was the 5th female competitor out of the water. With a fast transition to the mountain bike, she left in 2nd. In the past, Kalyn has lost places on the bike only to win a few back on the run; however, today, her additional bike training by former pro Ironman competitor Ian Murray really paid off. Coming in 2nd place female off of the bike, she came flying out of transition to the brutal run course with the number one female in sight. Within the first major climb Kalyn chewed up the ground and passed her to never look back scoring her first overall Xterra win with a lead of 2 minutes to the nearest athlete. One week later Kalyn proved it was no fluke with a win at the 2nd Annual Hansen Dam triathlon (sprint road triathlon), and a 2nd place female finish the following week at the Lake Arrowhead race!
