  Welcome

Welcome to GBSF...Building Character through Athletics for more than 51 years in Green!

About GBSF:  Green Baseball/Softball Federation has been operating as a 501c3 volunteer based organization for more than 51 years in the city of Green.  Our revenue from registration goes directly to cover the cost of equipment, uniforms, umpires, and back to the city of Green parks and rec dept. for improvements to our ball fields.  We play under the PONY (Protect Our Nations Youth) rules, which most baseball & softball players in the U.S. participate under.

Registration Dates/Times for spring 2010 season: (See Calendar for other dates and times throughout the season).  Register at Green Community Center:

Wednesday, January 20th   7pm - 9pm

Saturday, January 23rd      1pm - 3pm

Tuesday, January 26th        7pm - 9pm

Saturday, January 30th       9am - 11am

Late registrations will be accepted as room in each league permits.  Please go to "League Rules and Forms" on the left hand side and print out the registration form.  Send it in ASAP as practices begin March 30th.  If you have any questions please contact a board member.

Equipment Swap - If you have any gently used cleats (rubber), gloves, bats, batting helmets, batting gloves or baseball pants please bring these to the registration dates listed above. Feel free to then brouse all the items previously donated and take what you need.  This is a free exchange process and all tables at registration will be clearly marked with the items to be swaped.

Benefits of playing within the GBSF organization with PONY league rules:

-- See website www.tustinpony.com/page/show/30493 which does a very nice job of comparing the differences between the Pony League and Little League.
-- Feeder system for the Green H.S. baseball and softball programs. Both Green varsity H.S. baseball and softball coaches are advisors to our organization. The G.H.S. baseball varsity pitching coach is GBSF's Director of Travel Teams.

-- We conduct mandatory coaches training sessions which includes all the skills and drills that they are teaching each player.
-- We conduct mandatory umpires training sessions and have certified umpires (even more training) for the older age groups.
--  We perform background checks on every head coach through national and state law enforcement agencies.
-- We support one travel baseball team per age group (9u, 10u,11u, 12u, 13u,14u).
--  We support two travel softball teams (age 18u).

--We provide two scholarships for GHS seniors entering college.

Events scheduled within the GBSF organization this year: (See the CALENDAR option within this website for all the activities scheduled)

Batting cages can be reserved by contacting the City of Green Parks and Recreation Department at parks@cityofgreen.org

Note: Green Community Center is located on Massillon Rd just past Steese Rd. next to the fire station.
