GB Lightning (GBL) has partnered with Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine (ABSM). ABSM will provide athletic training coverage at all Red Smith home games, local tournaments, tryouts, and during additional games as needed. A licensed athletic trainer will be present at all home games at the Red Smith fields 30 minutes before the start of the game. In addition, ABSM will provide free athlete injury assessments and educational talks for GBL.
Any Green Bay Lightning athlete needing an assessment that is not an emergency are encouraged to call 920-288-5400 Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm. Athletes do not need referrals and the 30 minute assessment is free, just mention that you are a GBL player. An athlete information form needs to be filled out if it is not already on file. A licensed athletic trainer or physical therapist will evaluate the athlete and make recommendations. If a referral or more advanced care is needed, ABSM will assist the athletes. ABSM is located on at 1160 Kepler Drive, just north of the Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
