The Green Bay Lightning Soccer Club, Inc. provides the youth of the greater Green Bay area an opportunity to enhance and enrich their soccer experience through quality soccer programs, training, coaching and facilities.
Our mission is to To develop youth soccer players to the best of their abilities and prepare them to play at the highest level at which an individual player desires to participate, consistent with their playing ability and commitment.

First Touch Soccer Academy
Green Bay Lightning is excited to announce the First Touch Soccer Academy.
This is intended for 7-10 year olds and begins September 13th and runs for 6 weeks.
First Touch Soccer Academy is being offered at two campuses:
Luxemburg Casco Elemntary School
and
East River (Eliza) Field in Green Bay
Space is limited to the first 40 registrants at each location.

Coach Bob Rickards named Coach of the Year once again!
Our own Coach Bob received the Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) Coach of the Year Award once again for 2009 (also named this last year 2008). His previous honors include being named the Fox River Valley Conference (FRVC) Coach of the year for 2006, 2007, & 2008, All Area Coach of the Year by the Green Bay Press Gazette in 2005, 2007, & 2008, and the Bay Area Conference Coach of the Year in 2002. He also led the Notre Dame Academy Triton Boys to back to back Division II State Championships in 2007 and 2008 and made a great showing in the WIAA State Semi-finals tournament this year 2009! Congratulations Coach Bob and thank you for all that you do for youth soccer in NE Wisconsin!

Youth Developmental Soccer Training Program
Youth Developmental Soccer Training Program
The purpose of this program is to teach and develop the skills of pre-select age boys and girls (7, 8 & 9 year olds) to help them compete outside of a recreational program. The program will be open to both boys and girls with a passion for soccer and a willingness to improve their skills as a player.
This 6 week summer session will be instructed by WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association) certified coaches through the Green Bay Lightning Soccer Club.

- Blair Bandow U12 Boys coach and L/C High School varsity boys head coach and girls assistant
- Bob Rickards Former GBL coaching director & Boys/Girls Varsity head coach at Notre Dame
Academy
Lessons will place an emphasis on the basic technical skills needed for development by creating a solid foundation in the following areas: - Dribbling- Passing- Receiving
- Field Awareness
A practice plan for the session will be handed out to each participant on the first afternoon.
Where: L/C High School field
When: Sunday afternoons 2:00-4:00 June 7th, 21st & 28th- July 12th & 26th -Aug. 2nd
Cost: $30- Your fees will cover club costs and shirts for each child
