Garner Rec is located in the Historic Garner District, this park features two ball fields. Located off of East Garner Road by the old train station. Little League minor and major league teams play here. The teams play on the field located at the bottom of the hill.   PHOTO   MAP

North Garner

South Garner Park
South Garner Park is located in Heather Hills on Poole Drive. The park features three softball/baseball fields located at the end of Poole Drive. Poole Drive is off of Aversboro Road. Girls fast-pitch softball and boys T-ball and Coach Pitch play at these fields.  PHOTO   MAP

  • Take I-40 West

  • Take the US-70 W exit 306A to Garner - go 0.3 mi

  • Bear right at US-70 W - go 2.4 mi

  • Bear right onto the ramp to Garner/Benson - go 0.1 mi

  • Turn right at Umstead Ln - go 0.1 mi

  • Turn right at Benson Rd - go 0.6 mi

    Thompson Road Park
    Located off Thompson Road, these fields provide practice facilities for a variety of athletic teams. Thompson Road is located off of Timber Drive Road, right next to Timber Elementary School.
