WELCOME TO OUR 2008 SEASON!

Hello Everyone!

*************UPDATE*********

ALL GAMES FOR APRIL 1ST 2OO8 HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INCOMING WEATHER THIS EVENING. Team pictures will be rescheduled for a different date and time...Please check back with this site and with your coaches. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We are incredibly proud to say that our entry in Gautier's Mardi Gras parade won "Best Children's" entry this year. We'd like to thank the board members and their families who participated in our first parade this year!!! Great work everyone!!!

Our newly formed booster club is currently selling Gautier Dixie Youth Baseball cook books. All the recipes were submitted by parents, grandparents and friends of players here at GDYB. These books will make wonderful Easter, Mother's day gifts or even just a nice gift for yourself this holiday season. Please feel free to contact Stephanie Morgan (stephmorgan@cableone.net) or Traci Bragg-Eplin ( tracibraggeplin@yahoo.com) to purchase cookbooks. If you are unable to contact either of them, feel free to call Michelle Straight @ 623-1985 or Julie Williams @238-5746. We are incredibly grateful to Stephanie and Traci for taking on the task of running our booster club, they are doing a wonderful job and this cookbook is a testament to their success. Thanks again ladies!

Be sure to check our photo album page while here on the site. You'll see that big changes are occuring at the ballfield. We are currently in the midst of remodeling the concession stand to make it bigger, brighter and more efficient for the upcoming 2008 season. Through the hard work of volunteers from the board and local organizations, we are right in the middle of reconstruction. Pictures will continue to be updated to show the ongoing progress. We will soon be scheduling another work day. Keep checking the site for that date. We would love to see parents and community members come out to make this a true success for all of our children!

For those coaches who mistakenly did not turn in their league issued equipment, we really need for you to contact our Equipment manager Corey Straight. He needs to inventory all of our equipment and see what our needs are for the upcoming 2008 season. Please feel free to call 623-1985 to set up a time when you can bring your equipment to the ballfield.

September 4, 2007 a general board meeting was held at the Gautier Convention Center to elect new board members for the 2008 season of Gautier DYB. We also want to thank all outgoing members of the board for the time and effort they put into serving as members of the GDYB Board.
