Junior Second Season South
Junior Second Season North Big League Ages 16-18 Senior Second Season 14 -16 Year Olds Junior White Pony Senior West Pony Girls Softball For Girls, the team ages are: T-Ball - 5-7 Minors - 8-10 Majors - 8-12* Seniors - 13-14* Big League - 14-18* *Depending on the number of players who sign up - Minors & Majors can be mixed. Seniors & Big League can be mixed. Season starts some time in May. The 2005 season started the 1st of May. Senior & Big League seasons start in June (after school Softball is finished) GAME DAYS: T-Ball, Minors & Majors play during the week. Senior & Big League play during the week and Double Header's on Saturdays. Until we know which Towns can field teams, we cannot anticipate which days of the week games will be played. *All Divisions are travel. It depends on how many players we get and how many Towns are able to field teams. Everything in Softball is dependent on other Towns, how many teams they can field, and their availability to schedule games with Gates. Home games are played on the GCHS JV or Varsity Fields. Start time is usually 6:15 or 6:30 weekdays. On weekends, double headers are scheduled for 10:00 am and noon. Away games are played in Webster, Greece, Penfield, Fairport, Spencerport, Rochester (Genesee Valley), Brighton, etc. T-Ball Instructional program for youth ages 5-6 years of age. All players hit off of a tee. (Coach may pitch towards the end of the season) You must provide your child with his/her own glove. Baseball pants and sneakers are recommended. Season runs from mid-May to the end of June. 2 games per week are played on Mondays and Wednesdays. Games start at 6:00 pm. and last 1-1 1/2 hours. Games are played at the GC Middle School and Neil Armstrong School. Baseball Minors Instructional program for youth 7-9 years of age. Players do their own pitching and work on fundamentals. T-Shirt teams play 2 games/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturday mornings. Games are played at Westgate Park and start at 6:00 pm. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10:00 am. on Saturdays. You must provide your child with his/her own glove and a pair baseball pants. (Pant colors will be determined by coaches) Baseball Majors For youth ages 10-12. There are standings in this level of play. Little League teams play 2 games/week using Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. Games are played at Westgate Park and start at 6:00 pm.
