Garden City Soccer Club: Welcome

Dear Soccer Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy yet hopeful heart that we are posting this information regarding one of our soccer families. 7-1/2 month old Avery Klemola has been diagnosed with a cancer classified as High Grade Malignant Neoplasm Most Compatible with High Grade Sarcoma and also classified this as nonrhabdomyosarcomaand (see attached disease information below). Avery has already had her first chemotherapy treatment. Avery is the baby sister of two of our soccer players and the daughter of Shawn and Sheila Klemola.
A Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser has been scheduled for November 14, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Bailey Center in Westland. If you want to make a donation of goods, services or gift certificates for the raffle, or to help in any way, please contact Rhonda Silcox Donations can also be made at TCF Bank under Avery or Shawn Klemola, or you can go to My Helping Hand, click on the lend your hand tab and donate through paypal.
Please keep the Klemola family in your thoughts during this difficult time. For those of you who have facebook, Avery has a page with updates under her name. Thank you for your support.

NO DOGS are allowed at ANY GCSC games or practices.  Although we love dogs, we do not love the messes they leave or the potential dangers to our players.  Also keep in mind that some people have a fear of dogs, no matter how cute or tame, and we want all of our players and spectators to enjoy the games and practices.

Thank you!
