On occasion, special arrangements need to be made to get the players to games on time. Please see team coach and individual team schedule. On Saturday teams may have 2 to 3 games. When will I receive a schedule of games for the weekend? The GA Pearls have no control over when we receive game schedules for tournaments. On most cases, coaches will receive schedules by the Wednesday prior to the weekend of competition, however if the tournament director has to make changes it may be later than anticipated. Once a schedule is received, coaches will fax/emai/call a copy of the schedule to each parents. We will also try and attach the schedule on our website. How can I get my daughter on a team? She needs to attend an evaluation/tryout for her age group. Depending on the number of coaches available, there is a possiblitiy that we will have more than one team at an age group. Evaluations/Tryouts are conducted in January and February. How are the age groups determined? Whatever age your daughter was on January 31, 2008 and her grade will determine her team placement. Can my daughter play up an age group? There are special circumstances that we will allow a player to play up an age group. That decision will be made by the Director of Player Development and the President of the organization. Who are the coaches? The GA Pearls Coaches are volunteer qualified coaches who have coached competitively for a number of years. They participated in a 10 week training course during the fall to prepare for the AAU/YBOA season. What are the fees to compete?
