*Practice has been canceled for the entire league for Thursday July 24. C Team will not be practicing on Friday July 25 as well. All other teams need to check with your coach about Friday practice.*

We are now well into the second week of practices for the 2008 season. For the boys that have been practicing, we want to congratulate each one of you for the hard work and deication that has been shown this week. For all players that have not yet made it practice, we want to welcome each of you to the 2008 season with Galvez Tigers!

 Anyone who has not picked up the chocolate for the fundraiser needs to do so immediately! You will still be held responsible for this product.  All paperwork and fees are now due also. Celeste will be letting those people that have stuff due to complete registration responsibilities know at practice on Wednesday. All registration must be completed no later than Friday!

If you were not able to attend Fit Day, you will need to purchase your equipment yourself. Be sure to have helmets and cleats for practuce. You will not need other equipment until August 1. During this week at practice we will be fitting the remaining players for the team uniform. If your child was not at Fit Day please be sure to make practice this week!  

We are accepting sponsorships at this time. If you know someone who would like to contribute to our organization, please contact a board member for a "Sponsorship Form." Galvez Football Club is a non-profit organization and all donations and sponsorships are tax deductible (please contact your tax advisor regarding this).

Galvez is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching fundamentals of football,sportmanship and disipline to youth. Galvez Tigers was founded in 1980 by local families, we have played in several leagues around south Louisiana. In 1990 Galvez and five other organization formed our present league known as Southern Louisiana Youth Football Association (SLYFA). Each team is made up of three age groups: A Team 11-12, B Team 9-10, and C Team 6-8. We also have cheerleader squads for each team. All of our coaches are volunteers and are out on the field for the benefits of our kids.
