Congradulations!
District 8 would like to congradulate Ken Wayland for doing a great job at the 2006 Southern Regionals. Ken has received his nomination to officate in the world series and we hope that will happen soon for him. Great Job and keep up the good work.

Disrtict 8 Has Record Turnout at State Umpire Clinic
We had a record turn for the 2007 State Umpire Clinic that was held Feb.. 9th & 10th @ Northern Little League. Even thought the weather was cold and frigid we had 30 umpires show up and receive some great advice from Trainers from all over Georgia. We hope that with the training that our already 1st class umpires will even do better than in the past. Thanks to Curt Thompson, Marty Arnold and Tommy Smith for their efforts they put forth in hosting this event.
