The date for the 2009 State Leadership Conference has been set!! District Seven Leagues should reserve Saturday, January 10, 2009 to attend this annual seminar. This conference is designed to inform and instruct League Officers and Directors on the operations of the local league. Any member of a District Seven Little League program is invited to register and attend. Multiple seminars on various league functions will be conducted. Vendors of league supplies and products will be on site to display their services and products. Returning board members as well as new league officers will find this conference to be a tremendous source of information and education. The opportunity to meet with the other leagues of Georgia will provide opportunities to share ideas that advance the Little League mission thoughout our state. The Conference will be held at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, just north of Peachtree City (click on the picture for more information on the facility). Through a very generous donation from Resurgens Charitable Foundation, District 7 provided to every player on our 2008 7/8 Special Games teams a copy of David Kloser's Stepping Up to the Plate, 2nd Inning! Stepping Up to the Plate, 2nd Inning is a collection of interviews with Major League baseball players on topics such as: how to pick the type of people you want on your team, how to handle adversity, who are the people worthy of your respect, and how to create the building blocks to success - in any phase of life. Thank you Resurgens for caring about the children in our Little League organization. |
