MONDAY, JUNE 11TH:
BUCCANEERS PROVIDE TIMELY DONATIONS
TO YOUTH FOOTBALL
TEAMS
On
Monday, June 11th, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued their efforts
to support those in need by donating a total of $11,000 to two youth football
programs that were recently the victims of property theft. K Connor Barth
and LB Adam Hayward, along with Buccaneers cheerleaders, visited
the Jackson Heights Youth Education Town (YET) Center in Tampa to lead athletes
from the Highland Pines Cougars in football and cheer drills before presenting
the team with a check for $3,500. Following the first presentation, the
Carrollwood Cardinals also received a visit from the Buccaneers, including TE
Dallas Clark, DT Gerald McCoy, LB Dekoda Watson, and Buccaneers
cheerleaders, who led the group in drills and presented the Cardinals with a
check for $7,500.
Within
the past few weeks, both youth football programs were vandalized and lost a
total of more than $10,000 in football helmets, shoulder pads, and other
equipment. In addition to the check presentation, members of the Highland Pines
Cougars and the Carrollwood Cardinals were invited to participate as the
official flag runners during team introductions for the Buccaneers' August 24
preseason matchup versus the New England Patriots at Raymond James Stadium. To
