Friendswood Soccer Club: History of the Club

About the Friendswood Soccer Club
    Welcome to the Friendswood Soccer Club (FSC). FSC was established in 1973 with four teams. Today, the Friendswood Soccer Club has 100+ teams with over a thousand registered players. FSC is one of seventeen clubs that makes up the Bay Area Youth Soccer Association (BAYSA). BAYSA is a member of the Eastern District of the South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) which is affiliated with the United States Youth Soccer Association.

In FSC, teams are formed in single year age groups for boys and girls between the ages of four and eighteen. For ages four through nine, the level of play is strictly recreational. For ages ten through eighteen, both competitive (Division II) and recreational (Division III) teams are formed. The official season runs from September through November. The spring season runs from March through May. For ages eight through nine, teams can advance to the BAYSA playoffs. For ages ten through eighteen, teams can advance to the BAYSA playoffs, then Eastern District playoffs and then the STYSA playoffs.
