2011 BASEBALL ALL STARS
JUNIORS FASTPITCH
MACHINE PITCH SOFTBALL
The Machine Pitch Softball division is for girls ages 6-9. Machine Pitch places a priority on FUNdamentals. Players in this division hit a low impact ball from a pitching machine. This ensures that all hitters are successful, and defensive players get plenty of chances. Game times are 90 minutes with a 5 run limit per inning. Teams play an average of 15 games per spring season against teams from Federal Way and other local Little Leagues.
AAA FASTPITCH SOFTBALL
The AAA division is for girls ages 9-12. This is the first chance girls will get to pitch to hitters. AAA is intended as an instructional league with focus on fun and basic fundamentals. Players use an 11” ball and pitch from 35 feet. Games times are 1 hour and 45 minutes with a maximum of 10 batters per inning. Teams play an average of 15 games per spring season against teams from Federal Way and other local Little Leagues.
MAJORS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL
The Majors division is a competitive division for girls ages 9-12. Majors teams are selected based on a series of tryouts. Pitchers use a 12” ball from 40 feet away. Games last around 2 hours with no inning starting after 2 hours 30 minutes from the scheduled start time. Teams play an average of 15 games per spring season with an opportunity to play in a post-season tournament against teams from other local Little Leagues.
T-Ball
4-6 year olds. Developmental league using a tee to hit baseballs.
A-BALL
Coach pitch league designed to foster fundamental growth of young players.
AA-BALL
8-9 year olds. Combination of machine pitch and kid pitch.
AAA BASEBALL
9 year olds can try out for AAA teams. This league is for players age 9 through 11.
MAJORS BASEBALL
Majors players (ages 9-12) are selected by trying out for teams. Try out dates are provided during registration.
CHALLENGER BASEBALL
Challenger baseball is for boys and girls ages 4-18, who have intellectual or physcial challenges.
JUNIORS BASEBALL
Juniors Division consists of players age 13 and age 14.
SENIORS BASEBALL
Senior Division consists of players age 15 and 16 years of age.
