Fort Washington Little League Spring Registration
We are looking for Girls and Boys 4-18 years of age living within Andrews AirForce Base, Camp Springs, Clinton, Forestville, Fort Washington, Morningside, Oxon Hill, Suitland and Temple Hills areas.
You may register during Player Evaluations, which are scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Rose Valley Park 9800 Jacqueline Drive, Fort Washington, MD.
Report to the sign-in station when you arrive at the field. All male players report to the field at the following times for evaluation: Ages 7 - 8 - report 9:45 A. M.; Ages 9 - 10 - report 11:00 A.M.; Ages 11 - 12 - report 12:30 P.M. Players need a baseball cap, baseball cleats (no metal spikes) and a baseball glove for evaluations. All female softball players will be contacted by their coach during the week of March 16, 2008. Remember to check the information line for last minute changes due to weather and/or field conditions at 301-567-9799 by 8:30 a.m. Males ages 13 and older will be called with the date and location of the Try-Out.
New players must provide a copy of their birth certificate, all must provide three proofs of residency. Participation fees are $130 per child. There is a $300 Family Cap. An additional and separate ‘uniform hold check’ is required per registered child for all divisions. It will not be cashed unless uniforms are not returned when requested or are returned in such a state that does not appear as normal wear and tear. The check is to be dated for June 14, 2008 and will be returned at the end of the playing season. (Do not indicate Do Not Cash/Honor or any such language on check.) The uniform hold check is equal to the participation fee per child – there is no price cap.

Fort Washington Little League, Inc. is a sanctioned and chartered nonprofit baseball and softball organization with Little League Baseball, Incorporated in Williamsport, PA. Our objectives are to provide an opportunity for the children for the children to have fun and learn the game of baseball/softball, and to firmly implant into the participants the values of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for each other and authority that they may be healthier, stronger and happier children that will grow to be good, decent and trustworthy citizens. We endeavor to ensure the safety of our children by initiating enhanced child protection guidelines well before the mandatory 2003 season requirement that all Little League programs nationwide be required to annually conduct background checks of managers, coaches, board of directors and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and teams.
