Fusion 98 is Looking for One More Player

There is one roster spot remaining for Fusion 98, for the 2011 season.  We are looking for an athletic player who is willing to learn, and to develop softball skills while playing at the highest level available in BC.

The athlete must be PeeWee age (born in 1998 or 1997), and be an experienced ball player.  While the official tryouts are over, any athlete interested in this opportunity will be invited to one or two team practices for a skills assessment, at which time a decision will be made regarding the player's addition to the roster.

If you are interested in this oppportunity, or have any questions, please contact the head coach directly, as djw1162@shaw.ca

Fraser Valley Fusion add a 1998 Rep Peewee 'A' Team

Fraser Valley Fusion is pleased to announce the addition of a new team to their fold.  Fusion 98 will be entering their first year of Peewee Rep 'A' ball in the 2011 season.

Daryl Wiebe has been appointed as the new head coach, bringing 9 years of softball coaching experience to the Fusion, including the past two years as the head coach of Surrey Storm 98A.

This is an exciting time for young female softball players in the Fraser Valley, as the addition of a new rep 'A' team provides additional playing opportunities at the highest level available in BC.

Tryouts for Fusion 98 will identify 12 athletes to represent the Fraser Valley Fusion, as they embark on their first season of peewee ball.   This inaugural season will begin with off-season training starting in October 2010, league play starting in April 2011, and a comprehensive tournament schedule that will see them play in four local tournaments and four US tournaments.  The season will culminate with the Provincial Championship Tournament, held in early July.
