CURRENT REGISTRATION - FALL 2011 AND FULL YEAR 2011/2012 (fall & spring):

Fall 2011 & Fall 2011/Spring 2012 (full year) Registration is now open, May 1st thru June 15th.  Late fees will begin June 16, 2011 for any registration not complete on the last day of ontime registration. THIS YEAR ONLY, LATE FEES WERE EXTENDED TO JULY 1ST - ANY INCOMPLETED REGISTRATION ON JULY 1ST AND ANY REGISTRATION COMPLETED JULY 1 OR LATER WILL BE CHARGE THE LATE FEE - WE CANNOT GUARANTEE PLACEMENT OF ANY PLAYER WHOSE PAPERWORK IS RECEIVED JULY 1ST OR LATER.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:  TO PLAY SOCCER FOR THE 10/11 SOCCER YEAR, A PLAYER HAS TO BE 4 YEARS OLD BY JULY 31, 2011
(BIRTHDAY ON OR BEFORE JULY 31, 2007)

STOP - READ EACH STEP COMPLETELY BEFORE REGISTERING

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your child's registration is not complete until we receive all paperwork, listed below, at our office (this is all registrations - new & returning):

  1. completed & signed Membership Form (this includes the medical release all on one form, no doctor's release is required unless player has been injured during our soccer program, registrar will notify you if this is required) - The online registration system will generate a registration form with the information you provided filled in - you need to print it out at completion of online registration & sign in both places - printed on white paper ONLY - not on card stock and no colored paper please.  THIS MUST BE PRINTED OUT FROM THE LINK AT THE END OF THE REGISTRATION.
  2. Payment in full, if did not use debit or credit card during online registration process (to pay by check, money order or cash, choose check as the payment option during the registration process)
  3. Small Picture with player's name written on back, for players 6 yrs or older only (2"x3" is best - face needs to fit a 1.5"x1.5" area) - form completed by online registration will say U7 or older if picture is required and a new picture is required each soccer year. (If picture is not included with registration paperwork, you will be required to provide one to coach at first practice)
  4. PROOF OF AGE, if first time registering with FUSA since 2006 only
PLEASE NOTE: Due to liability issues, the Membership Form must be an original form with original signatures - no emailed or faxed copies will be accepted.  MEMBERSHIP FORM REQUIRES TWO SIGNATURES TO BE COMPLETE.  Place in our locked dropbox at office door or mail to the address listed on your registration instructions and confirmation (FUSA,  2024A Sullivan, Farmington, NM  87401).   

DO NOT LEAVE PAPERWORK AT SOUTHWEST SOCCER.

**NO REGISTRATION IS COMPLETE UNTIL ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK IS RECEIVED BY FUSA - PLAYERS CANNOT BE ROSTERED UNTIL PAPERWORK IS COMPLETED - LATE FEES WILL BE CHARGED ON ALL INCOMPLETE REGISTRATIONS AFTER ON-TIME REGISTRATION PERIOD ENDS**

FALL 2011 SEASON DATES

Coaches will have meetings mid August (see calendar for specifics where they will be posted when set) and practices will begin late August - dates will be posted here and on the calendar when issued to us by the League. 

Games are planned for 8 weekends in September & October, excluding Labor Day Weekend.  Depending on the seasonal dates, the final game weekend could be the first weekend in November.  

Coaches will contact players once Coaches Meetings have taken place.  No team or coach information will be available to players or coaches before those Coaches Meetings.  If you have not been contacted by August 31st, you may email the Registrar beginning September 1st for Coach contact information.

Our online calendar will be updated as information is received.



VOLUNTEER POLICY

VOLUNTEERS POSITIONS:  ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE PARENT VOLUNTEER TO ASSIST THE TEAM OR CLUB - THIS ALLOWS US TO KEEP OUR REGISTRATION COSTS DOWN.    

Postions available:
Coach **
Assistant Coach**
Linesman (helps watch the lines during the games, your child's games only)
Referee  (if you referee for U10 and older games, (not your child's games) this requires attendance at provided training to be certified, then becomes a paid position - U5 thru U8, it is a volunteer position and only during your own child's game, understanding of the rules required and written rules will be given to you for these age groups.)
Team Manager (helps coach with paperwork, etc) **
Board Member ** 
    **requires risk managment to be completed  - see near bottom of home page for link to complete this requirement.

TEAM FORMATION BY AGE DIVISIONS

U5 - Coed teams - mix of boys & girls (age 4 by July 31st)

U6 - Coed Teams - mix of boys & girls (age 5 by July 31st)

U8 thru 14 - teams of all boys or all girls, mixed as equitably as possible of 2 ages (6 & 7 are U8, 8 & 9 are U10, 10 & 11 are U12, 11 & 12 are U14) 

Age determined by age of player on July 31st of current registration year (similiar to how school age is determined)
