13U Thunder Holiday Classic 1st Place 2.jpg
Tuesday, December 18
Fury 13U Thunder Holiday Classic Champions

Fury Baseball 13U Thunder win the Holiday Classic. After going 0-2 on Saturday, they came back on Sunday and battled their way back to the championship game against their nemesis the TX. Amped. Along the way they had to play both the number 2 seed (Tomball Cougars), beating them 14-2 and the number 3 seed (MLAB Lightning) beating them 12-5. Already having come in runner ups to Tx. Amped in the Fall State South Zone tournament, the boys fell behind 5-2, but rallied to tie the game in the 3rd inning. Holding them scoreless in the 4th inning Fury came up with a key base hit to knock in the go ahead run. One more inning to hold them, which they did and won 6-5. Congratulations Thunder for a job well done. It was a total TEAM effort.

Fury Thunder 2nd Fall South Zone.jpg
Tuesday, November 6
Fury Thunder make it to Fall South Zone finals

Our 13U Thunder team made it to the finals of the Fall South Zone tournament despite rain and delays, but came up a little short, but still an amzing accomplishment for this team. In only 4 tournaments this fall this team has already made it to 2 finals. This says alot about the heart and character of this team. They just keep battling and work hard.

On Saturday their games were rain delayed for 5 hours and they wound having to play at almost 9:00 that night. In the 1st game they took care of the Dierker Champs 10-1. In the 2nd game they played against their nemesis the Tx. Amped and lost a heartbreaker 5-4.

On Sunday, as the number 2 seed they took care of Strike Force in a close game to advance to the finals against Tx. Amped once again. They started off with a lead, only to let it slip away after the 1st inning. They came back to tie the game in the 3rd and played close the rest of the way, but came up a little short in the end losing 8-4.

We can not say enough how proud of the boys we are. Parents, thank you for your support and the best is yet to come with this team. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off.

Coach Clint and Mrs. Gina

Fury Thunder Big City Blowout 2nd place.jpg
Sunday, September 23
Fury Thunder take 2nd place in Big City Blowout

What an amazing start to the 2013 season. With a new team on board this group started off Saturday with 2 tough losses, only to come back and have to play at 8:00 on Sunday.

The Thunder win the opener 6-1 with Ahmad pitching a great game and Tyler Williams coming into close the game. Highlighted by great defense and timely hitting.

Game 2 the Thunder went on a hitting rampage and beat Dynasty 18-5, avenging the loss from Saturday. Conor Sullivan pitched another great game. Everyone had at least 1 hit and a run scored. Caleb Martin and Ridge Rainwater had timely hits to keep the train rolling.

Game 3 the challenge was to beat MLAB Lightning who we lost to on Saturday 4-3. It was a hard fought game, but with another great pitching game from Tyler Williams, our outstanding catches from our outfielders and timely hitting from Lance Albritton we came away with a 5-3 win. Cudos go to our outfielders for 5 great catches to save the game from Tyler Moore, Zach Fletcher and John Henze. Austin Swonke made 2 great defensive stops at 3rd and Jake Sanchez at 2nd making 2 more. Conner Ames caught a great game and made some gaving saving blocks.

Game 4 the Thunder were tied for 3 innings 1-1. Key injuries caught up with us and the Thunder came up a little short and lost 8-1. To make it this far in your first tournament when being counted out by numerous people says alot about the heart, competitiveness and toughness of this team. The coaches and parents are very proud of you. All the hard work paid off. Congratulations Thunder!

Coach,

Thanks for all you do. Drake and Kendall both love this team and they have got more out of being with you as a coach than they ever have before. Drake is so sad and tearful everyday because he is out hurt, but he loves this team and you as his coach.

Thanks,

Debra Gregory

Clint,
I just wanted to let you know that both Chris and Sam made the soph. team at Kingwood High! Thanks for all you did for them with Fury. I know it was a big part of them making the team.

Sincerely,
Jacque Havelka

Clint --

Thanks. Really thought you had arranged the clinics well, and helped kids of various skills and ages. Liked the system of your gathering them for instruction after they had done a little of the skill being worked on, and then recycling them. That gave you and yours more knowledge first on where they were, and then gave you personally the chance to see what they had picked up from your instruction and the specific items they needed individually to work on. Was really good.

Thanks,

George Bond

Clint and Gina-
Thank you for such a top-rate clinic on Saturday!  Conor had a great time and was able to tell his dad (currently out of country) several new things he had learned.  And Clint thank you especially for talking with Conor about his frustration at playing 1st base when the "crazy throws" come in.  He is excited to have a strategy for getting those bouncers and wild throws.
We look forward to the summer clinics/camps.

Thanks again!
Athena Sullivan
