FTYF: Coaches

BACKGROUND CHECKS

 Directions for Background Checks:

1. Click on the FTYF Registration link at http://www.sportssignup.com/Franklin-Township-Youth-Football--Online-Registration.start

2. Create an account for themselves if they do not already have one. Make sure your team name is listed as well. Your name will be linked to the team.

3. If you already have an account you need to click on your name and it will take you directly to the Kids Safe Applicatoin

4. Head Coaches only use the coupon code that was given to you at the draft: This code will kick your application into league pay.

5. Assistant coaches do NOT have a code as they are self pay. Head coaches DO NOT give assistant coaches a code Head coaches:

IT is YOUR responsibilty to get your assistant coaches this background check and USA Certification information. If your assistant coach contacts a board member for this information, your assistant will be sent back to you for this information.

PRINT OUT APPLICATION RECEIPT: Print out the application receipt from background check and USA Certification stating that you have registered with both organizations and completed all requirements. Turn into a board member.

2 YEAR PASS: If you had a background check last year through NCSIF, your screen is still good for this year. If you are unsure of your expiration date on your background check, please see Julie Zoeller as there is a list.

OUTSIDE BACKGROUND CHECKS: FTYF will accept outside background checks from work, church or other sporting organizations. BUT, it is YOUR responsibility to get a copy and turn into the board.

RED LIGHTS: If a red light comes back on a head coach or an assistant the coach will be suspended immediately until the board can look at the specifics case by case. If it is determined that the red light is to stand based on the case findings, termination will be immediate.

CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: USA Certification and Kid Safe Background Check

CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENT DEADLINE: 1. Head Coaches: July 23 2. Assistant Coaches: August 4 No credentials, no coaching the game. If you do not have your credentials on and visible at a game you will not be allowed to be in the coaches box or on the game field. This rule is for your own protection as well as the leagues. The refs will do a head and assistant coaches credential check at the beginning of each game. Every credential will be eye balled by the refs.
