All Metro and Competitive matches (Division III, Division I) will be played today.
The following is an updated status on Recreational Play:
All scheduled matches are completed for the 2008-9 Recreational Season. For teams participating in the Fun Tournament this weekend please note that all matches will be held at the Octo Inn Soccer Complex.

2008 Registration
Registration for the 2008-9 FSYSL Season is closed. The registrar is currently placing players from the waiting list on teams in need of additional players. Please remember that if you or your child is on the waiting list, placement is based upon the need to balance team rosters and player/coach requests many not be honored. If you or your child have not received notification of team placement by August 12, 2008, please e-mail your placement inquiries to the League Coordinator, Mark Corioso: mdcorioso@aol.com. Inquiries to this e-mail are only for team placement. Please do not e-mail the league coordinator for information concerning practice times and locations, as the practice times and locations are determined by the coaches.
RAINOUT PROCEDURES
The League has set up some procedures to alert coaches, parents and players in the event that inclement weather causes the cancellation of games. Age-group coordinators (AGCs) will notify coaches by phone as soon as a rainout decision is made. Coaches will then notify their teams. In addition, coaches, parents/players may call the League number for updated information: (707)580-2756 for a recorded message; or, check the League website, www.fsysl.org , for rainout updates. The safety of our players is the top priority.

Game Reports
Game reports for submission to the Daily Republic are available in the plastic containers at all game fields. Please fill one out and leave it in the box. Please limit each game report to 4 players names per report.
MODIFIED RULES FOR GAMES
Please check the modified rules for the various age-groups. You'll find information about the duration of the games, number of field players, substitutions, playing time, etc. On the left-hand menu, click on "Handouts".
Team Parent Responsibilities
There's been some questions about what a "Team Mom" or "Team Dad" is responsible for. Here is a list that might help...
-> Communicates regularly with coach(es) and parents
-> Creates team roster, including player and parents' names, phone numbers, and email addresses
-> Develops snack list for games
-> Coordinates team banner responsibilities, i.e. who brings banner to the game
-> Plans social events, including end-of-year party
-> Orders players' trophies and collects funds from parents
-> Creates and distributes informational flyers, as needed
-> May develop fundraising activities to offset cost of trophies, end-of-year party, etc.
