The League has procedures to alert coaches in the event that inclement weather causes the cancellation of games. The Age Group Coordinators are responsible for informing the coaches whether or not any games or practices will be held due to adverse field conditions. Coaches will then notify their teams.
Usually we will not be able to make a decision on game cancellation until late Friday or early Saturday Morning. In addition a message will be posted on the league telephone (707) 580-2756 on early Saturday Morning with the status of all field conditions and the front page of the FSYSL website will be updated. It may be that some fields will be playable and others will not, depending upon the venue.

Welcome to CYSA's FSYSL 2009-10 Soccer Season.
We all are looking forward to yet another highly successful and productive year. We as always strive to advance core value of serving all children by providing experiences that will enable each child to grow, learn, mature and succeed as adults by becoming responsible members of society. Every child is an individual of importance, to be nurtured, encouraged and supported in which CYSA & FSYSL offer something for every child.
As our season is continuing I want to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and coaches with their patience as we have worked through getting the teams formed.
Here are some friendly reminders to help this be a fun experience for our players, coaches and parents.
All our coaches are volunteers! They are front line of our league and deserve respect for what they do for our children. Parents please take time out to thank your coach and offer your assistance.
Game days, the first morning games teams must assemble the goals and last game of the day teams must un-assemble the goals, this applies to all fields. This means both teams, coaches and parents will need to do this. Make sure the goals go back to the spot that they belong neatly, bring all the nets bags & flags to the designated area to be picked up and at Octo please bring the net bags, flags and signs to the connex box. Also please pick up your trash when you leave the area and make sure that it is securely placed in a trash can, if that one is full find another one. Please do not leave you broken chairs by or in the can for us to dispose of, take them to the big dumpster by the porta potties or if you are at another field bring them home to dispose of there. The Volunteers that clean up don't have the much space to haul off for you.
PARENTS!! please don't leave the coach(es) alone doing setting up or cleaning up by themselves, I have been observing this action every weekend. The coaches and all the board members are volunteers and pay the same registration fees as you do on top of the time they spend caring for your team, they shouldn't be left alone to clean up after everyone, we all need your help.
NO DOGS(or any pets)AT ANY GAMES REGARDLESS OF WERE ITS PLAYED. You will be asked to leave immediately. This is a CYSA rule that must be abided by.
Respect your referees; we have a lot of young referees out there. Lets be patient and understanding as they ref our games. We all make mistakes and the vision from the sideline is completely different then from inside the game. Yelling, criticizing or arguing with referees will not be tolerated. Coaches are responsible for the sideline behavior of your parents and yourself, coaches can and will be ejected from the game which at that point the coach will face a PAD hearing if the side line behavior policy is not adhered to.
Contribute to all the fundraisers. As our building has begun we would like to have everyone out there supporting the fund raising efforts our committee is doing. The money they make will help us get the funds to finish the building. How nice it will be to have a concession and permanent bathrooms!
Again I want to thank the parents, players, coaches and all the volunteers for helping to make this a successful season!!!
Sincerely Yours in Soccer,
FSYSL President
