Welcome to the Southwest Little League (SWLL), District 5 Website!
The Fall Ball Season is in its last few weeks.
The kids have learned a lot of skills this season and it really shows at the games.
Below is a listing of upcoming events for each division:
T-Ball & Machine Pitch teams have only 2 more games left. They will continue playing practice games on Tuesdays at Hurley field from 6pm to 7pm until Tuesday November 17th.
Minor AA boys, Minor AAA Boys & Softball, will continue playing their games according to their game schedules. There will be a Minor Boys Tournament at Gulfport field on November 20th – 22nd.
Major Boys will continue with their regular game schedules and there is a Tournament scheduled for Major Boys on December 4th – 6th at Pinellas Park National.
Junior Boys will continue with their regular game schedules and there is a Tournament scheduled for Junior Boys on December 11th – 13th at Northeast Field.
Your coaches will have more details at practice. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. You can also check the website @ www.eteamz.com/fswll/calendar/ for more details. Let your coaches know if you plan on playing so we can register the teams in the tournaments.
We will be holding our last Saturday Clinic.
It will be this Saturday, November 7th at 2:30 at Roselli Field.
This clinic is about pitching and will be hosted by The Eckerd coaching staff. If you haven't attended a Saturday clinic you are missing a lot. This will be the last clinic of the season. Ages 8-9-10-11-12 are welcome so you want to plan on attending this one. We request all players’ RSVP for clinics either by email at swll2008@aol.com or by calling Grace Everitt at 727-641-4483. Please RSVP by this Friday so we know how many instructors we will need. All coaches, managers or league officials should be attending all clinics. The SWLL board will be electing a new president in the next few weeks. The league is run by volunteers and if you are interested in helping please email us.
