Southwest Little League (SWLL), District 5: Welcome

As we complete our 2009 Fall Ball season we would like to thank all of the Mangers, Coaches & Parents who helped make the season a big success.  

Whether it was showing T-Ball players how to correctly throw a baseball for the 1^st time, reminding a Major player to watch for the “steal signal” while on base, or just getting your child to the field on time, we hope your involvement in Southwest Little League was as beneficial to you as it was to all of the players!  

All divisions are completing their last games/practices this week. There are Tournaments planned for the Minor AAA Boys, Majors & Junior teams. Below are the dates for the Tournaments:

MINOR AAA BOYS TOURNAMENT - November 19-21 (this weekend) @ Gulfport Field (5460 Tangerine Ave So. Gulfport, FL 33707)

MAJOR BOYS TOURNAMENT – December 4 – 6 @ Pinellas Park National

JUNIORS BOYS TOURNAMENT – December 11 – 13 @ Northeast Little League

SWLL will be participating again this year in the St. Pete Beach Holiday Parade. It will be held on Saturday, December 12^th, 2009. We will be assembling near Gulf Winds Drive & 67^th Avenue at 9am to decorate our float. Please have your child wear their uniform and closed toed shoes as they will be throwing candy from the float. The SWLL Spring Baseball & Softball Season will begin with registrations starting on January 1^st  2010. You can register online by visiting our website or we will be holding three walk-up registration dates: 1/6/10, 1/9/10, & 1/14/10 at Egan Field.  

There will be 2 try-out dates for boys & girls ages 8 to 12 on 2/19/10 and 2/21/10 at Egan Field. Your child must attend one of the two try-outs.  

Opening day will be on February, 27^th 2010 at Hurley field at 10 a.m. in Pass-A-Grille. This is a fun event with food, games & activities. We will also be handing out uniforms and holding some coaches and training clinics.  The Spring interlock games will begin on March 6^th, 2010.
