Below is information about 2012 Fall Ball. All forms are in the handout section on the left hand column.
FYB will offer a five week Fall Ball season
starting on Friday, July 20th ending on Tuesday, August 21st.
Fall Ball Is bring-your-own-team, no
draft is available. Individual players
may leave a player application with the Cary Sallee (League Director, who is in
the press box every night) and an effort will be made to place your child on a
team. Unfortunately, the league can’t
guarantee placement on a team. Please
work with coaches in your league to find a team for fall ball.
The fee is $90 per player. Each team will play 10 games. The top four teams in each league listed
below, will play a single elimination play-off at the end of the season.

for teams moving up from 6U who plan to play in the draft league and for
returning draft league teams
8U Coach

for open teams moving up from 6U, that plan to play in 8U Open league next
spring and for returning 8U open teams
10U Closed
Bases (9U USSSA Rules)

teams moving from 8U draft league and returning 10U draft teams

Add local rule for Fall Ball:
o No
lead-offs, players will be allowed to steal home if ball gets past
catcher.
§ Player
can’t leave the base to steal until the ball crosses home plate.
§ If
player leaves base too early, opposing team has choice of result of play or no
play and base runner is warned about leaving early.
§ If
player leaves the base early twice during same base running sequence, then
player will be called out.
o Dropped
third strike, batter is out.
10U Open

Fall
ball is considered a developmental time for teams to get a chance to play in
the new league they will be eligible to play in next year. Teams can have a minimum of 10 players and a
maximum of 12 players on their roster.
Teams are allowed to use substitute players during Fall Ball. Substitute players may be any player on any
team within your division. A substitute
can only play in the outfield and must bat at the end of your line-up. A substitute can only be used if team falls
below 9 regular players on its roster. A
game is forfeited if a team fields less than 6 players on its roster.
Teams will be responsible for purchasing their
own uniforms and insurance for the team from USSSA. Proof of team insurance must be turned in
with rosters.
FYB will provide t-shirts for all players in
the league in lieu of trophies. Please
provide the players t-shirt size on their application.
Key Dates:
Saturday,
6/23/12 by 5:00pm – Team
registration package must be submitted to Cary Sallee, who is on duty every
night at the fields. Early registrations
are appreciated.

Team Packet must
include the following:
1. Team Cover Sheet completely filled out
2.
Payment in full ($90 per player)
3. Signed player application for each member of
your team
4. Manager/coaches applications
a. All coaches must submit a new Manager/Coaching
application

Coaches who
didn’t coach during the spring season will need to provide $10 background check
fee with application
ii.
Coaches who paid
to coach during spring season, no fee required.
5. Copy of USSSA insurance showing that you have
insured all players on your team
6. Copy of birth certificate for each player on
team (keep for your records)

Completed packets
will be numbered in order they are received in case we need to limit the number
of teams due to field capacity issues. A
team number won’t be assigned a number until package is complete and all money
paid.

Refunds:
1. If a team decides to not play in the league
prior to the schedules being posted, they will be granted 50% refund of player
fees.
2. If a team decides to not play, after schedules
are posted, no refund will be granted.
