Fall Ball Information 2014 (updated)

The Final Registration day for Fall Ball 2014 is

June 24th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at FYB Pressbox in Wolfforth.

FYB will offer a five week Fall Ball season starting on Friday, July 18, 2014 ending on Wednesday, August 19, 2014. 

Fall Ball Is bring-your-own-team, no draft is available.  Individual players may leave a player application with the Cary Sallee (League Director, who is in the press box every night) and an effort will be made to place your child on a team or form a team if we have enough players within an age group.  Unfortunately, the league can’t guarantee placement on a team.  Please work with coaches in your league to find a team for fall ball.

The fee is $95 per player.  Each team will play 10 games.  The top four teams in each league listed below, will play a single elimination play-off at the end of the season. 

FYB will offer the following Divisions:

6U Coach Pitch

·       For Players who are 5 or 6 years old on or before April 30, 2015

8U Machine Pitch

·       For Players who are 7 or 8 years old on or before April 30, 2015

·       Suggested league for teams moving up from 6U who plan to play in the draft league and for returning draft league teams

8U Coach Pitch

·       For Players who are 7 or 8 years old on or before April 30, 2015

·       Suggested league for open teams moving up from 6U, that plan to play in 7U Open League next spring  and for returning 8U open teams

***8U Machine and Coach Pitch leagues may be combined depending on number of teams***

10U Closed Bases (9U USSSA Rules)

·       For Players who are 9 or 10 years old on or before April 30, 2015

·       Suggested for teams moving from 8U draft league and returning 10U draft teams

10U Open Bases

·       For Players who are 9 or 10 years old on or before April 30, 2015

·       Suggested for teams moving from 8U open league and returning 10U open teams

12U

·       For Players who are 11 or 12 years old on or before April 30, 2015

14U (60-90)

·       For Players who are 13 or 14 years old on or before April 30, 2015

 

 Fall ball is considered a developmental time for teams to get a chance to play in the new league they will be eligible to play in next year.  Teams can have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12 players on their roster.  Teams are allowed to use substitute players during Fall Ball.  Substitute players may be any player on any team within your division.  A substitute can only play in the outfield and must bat at the end of your line-up.  A substitute can only be used if team falls below 9 regular players on its roster.  A game is forfeited if a team fields less than 6 players on its roster. 

 

Teams will be responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and insurance for the team from USSSA.  Proof of team insurance must be turned in with rosters. 

 

FYB will provide t-shirts for all players in the league in lieu of trophies.  Please provide the players t-shirt size on their application.

Team registration package must include the following:

1.     Team Cover Sheet completely filled out

2.     Payment in full ($95 per player)

3.     Signed player application for each member of your team

4.     Manager/coaches applications

a.     All coaches must submit a new Manager/Coaching application

                                      i.     Coaches who didn’t coach during the spring season will need to provide $15 background check fee with application

                                     ii.     Coaches who paid to coach during spring season, no fee required.

5.     Copy of USSSA insurance showing that you have insured all players on your team get insurance here: http://www.usssa.com/sports/Insurance.asp?Sport=11

·       Completed packets will be numbered in order they are received in case we need to limit the number of teams due to field capacity issues.  A team number won’t be assigned a number until package is complete and all money paid.

·       Refunds:

1.     If a team decides to not play in the league prior to the schedules being posted, they will be granted 50% refund of player fees. 

2.     If a team decides to not play, after schedules are posted, no refund will be granted.

·       Top 4 teams in each league will play single elimination play-off

·       Teams in end of season tournament must use players on roster, no substitutes allowed

·       If team can’t field a team for play-offs, let the league know and next highest seed will be allowed to play in tournament

 

 Midnight Madness Tournament:

FYB will host a midnight madness tournament in either July or August.  Please monitor the USSSA website for tournament listing.
