Mugs/Spirit Wear Fundraisers Announced!
IceWolvesMug
Here are some things that are happening with our hockey program.  We will be selling stainless steel travel mugs imprinted with the Icewolves logo for only $10.  Stacy Dickman, our mite manager, is handling this.  These will make great Christmas gifts for grandparents!  Contact your team manager for more information.

We are also putting together our annual Icewolves spirit wear orders, with some exciting new items.  These items will be ready in time for Christmas presents.  The brochures for this will be coming out soon from Rachelle Bickley, our squirt manager.  This will also be posted on our website.

2009-2010 Registration Underway

It's time to register for the Icewolves 2009-2010 season. It's a very simple process. Follow the link below to USA Hockey and register online with your credit card. After you complete the easy registration process, USA Hockey will email you back a confirmation page. PLEASE FORWARD THAT CONFIRMATION PAGE TO FREMONTHOCKEY@YAHOO.COM .

Then, mail your down payment of $50.00 to Alan Binger at 675 Limerick Rd., Clyde OH 43410. If you mail the $50 downpayment and email the completed USA Hockey registration by July 1st, we will discount your regular season fees by $25.00. Also, all former Icewolves that completely register by July 1 are GUARANTEED a roster spot for next season.

Our fees for next year will remain unchanged from last season! They will be- Mites- $350, Squirts- $395, Peewees- $525, Bantams- $670, HS Club $695. There will continue to be $75 goalie discount and a $35 discount for the second or third player from the same family. We strongly encourage you to make summer payments on these fees to ease the "sticker shock" next fall. All fees need to be paid in full by December 1, 2009. Send those payments to Alan Binger at the same address as above.

Constitutional Amendment to be Voted On
The FYHBA Board of Directors is recommending a constitutional amendment to be voted on at the FYHBA annual meeting on April 25. Click on "Handouts" to view the text of the amendment. The essence of the amendment is to alter the terms of directors to two years so that either 3 or 4 members have terms expiring each year. It is felt that this will help with the flow of the board as members change. There is also a change recommended that would have the general membership electing the directors, but then the directors organizing and electing officers much like a school board does. Please plan to attend the April 25th meeting to voice your opinion and vote on this amendment as well as elect the board of directors for the 2006-07 fiscal year.

Ice Wolves Excel in the Windy City
The Ice Wolves did very well in their first ever appearance in the Chicago Cup tournament this past weekend. Congratulations to the squirt team which captured the championship banner. The bantams took runner-up honors in an exciting game which was decided in a shootout after the second overtime period still didn't produce a champion. The pee wees also did quite well tying for third place in their division. GREAT JOB ICE WOLVES!

Wednesday, March 8
Ice Wolves Pizza Party
The Fremont Youth Hockey Boosters will host a pizza party for the entire Ice Wolves program on Tuesday, March 14 beginning at 5:30 pm. Bring your skates. The pizza is scheduled to arrive about that time, but we will also have the ice rink rented for skating from 5:30 to 6:45. All trophies and banners won during the season will be on display. Come be part of the fun!

The midget team will practice at 7:00 in preparation for their final tournament of the season at Newark.

What a Weekend for the Ice Wolves!
This has been perhaps the best weekend of Ice Wolves hockey in our brief history. The four Fremont teams went a combined 8-0 over the weekend. The Squirts went 2-0 including a CSHL A-2 Playoff Championship and a win over the BG Ice Cats, the Pee Wees swept a weekend series with Findlay Blue, the Bantams avenged two early season losses by whipping the Strongsville A-2 team and the Midgets went 3-0 to capture the Troy Invitational beating Kettering Alter 2-1 in the Sunday night championship game. GREAT JOB ICE WOLVES!

Saturday, March 4
Second Banner Coming Back to Fremont!
Just three weeks after the bantams gave Fremont it's first CSHL League Championship banner, there will now be two banners hanging in the Rec Center after the squirt team won the A2 playoff championship with a come-from-behind 5-2 win over Columbus. CONGRATULATIONS SQUIRTS!

Bantams & Pee Wees Bring Home the Hardware!
The Ice Wolves Pee Wees completed a perfect weekend by defeating Rocky River 3-2 to win the Garfield Heights "Melt-the-Ice" tournament. They had gone 3-0 in the preliminary round. The Bantams brought the championship trophy home as well in a hard fought 4-3 win over the hosts, Garfield Heights. They had tied the Bulldogs 4-4 on Saturday night and had a fine 3-0-1 record for the weekend. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH TEAMS!

Skate with the Falcons a Huge Success
BGFalcons
Fresh off a 4-0 spanking of Top 20 team Colgate on Tuesday night, the BG Falcon hockey team skated with approximately 100 kids at the Fremont Rec Center on Wednesday night. Special thanks to Tina Lee and the Fremont Ross Little Giants for putting the event together and also the Falcons for making the trip to Fremont!

Be sure to catch the remaining action of BG Hockey. They are on a 4 game winning streak including a holiday tournament championship at the University of Connecticut and two wins over Top 20 teams. They are in action this Saturday night vs The Ohio State University. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

"Thank You" from the Pulaski Family
We would like to extend our heart felt thanks to our family here at FYHBA for helping us get through a very trying time with Joey's recent accident. We felt your thoughts and prayers and your outpouring of support was overwhelming. We are truly blessed to have such dear friends! Joey is home and doing great and will fully recover long before those of us who went through this with him. We knew everything was fine when he told coach Binger that he thought he should be ready for the Niagara Tournament!
