Help Us Keep in Touch

Please keep FYHBA in the loop when you make changes in your e-mail address!  FYHBA President, Stacy Dickman is the keeper of the official e-mail list so please let her know as soon as you make any changes.  This is very important so that you can keep up to date with all the current FYHBA news.  Stacy's address is:   tsdickman4@woh.rr.com

Practice Cancellation Policy

It is the policy of FHYBA to hold practices during inclement weather unless the Rec Center cancels all activities. If you feel uncomfortable making the trip on nights that are questionable, you will be excused from practice on that night. If there are questions about practices on any specific night, please call your manager or coach before heading to Fremont.

Donate Your American Express Rewards Points to FYHBA

Did you know that you can donate your American Express rewards points to FYHBA?  For every 1,000 points donated, FYHBA gets $10.  That is about double the rate of most of the other ways you can use your reward benefits. To donate your points visit: www.americanexpress.com/give, click the "Donate Now" tab and type in "Fremont Youth Hockey" in the organization search.  Just follow the simple instructions and FYHBA will be sent a check for your donation.  Remember that FYHBA has 501(c)(3) status from the IRS, so in most cases your donation is deductible!  You can also use this site to make a simple cash donation to FYHBA, although a 2.25% service charge is deducted from your donation.

FYHBA Playing Time Philosophy/Guidelines

The Fremont Youth Hockey Boosters have approved a "Playing Time Philosophy/Guidelines" policy that has been under consideration for some time.

We are not a "win at all costs" association. However, more of a premium is put on winning regular season league games and tournament championships.  There are reasons why players may not be given equal playing time and this Board feels that it is important that everyone involved understand these guidelines before problems develop.  Some reasons include, but are not limited to, the following:
Player controlled reasons:
   A.)  Unexcused absence/tardiness from practice/games
B.)  Failing to respond to coaching directives
   C.)  Poor sportsmanship/Bad attitude
   D.)  Excessive penalties
E.)  Any violation of the Player Code of Conduct
F.)  Any violation of the USA Hockey Zero Tolerance policy
Coaching/Game Management Reasons
A.)  Stronger players may be given less time when games are "out of reach", either by being ahead or behind by a large margin, or in non-league scrimmages.
B.)  Developing players may be given less time in very close games of importance like league games or tournament championship games.
The above will be at the discretion of the coaching staff.
In short, FYHBA and it's coaching staff will endeavor to have relatively equal playing time for all players over the course of the year, but not over the course of any one game or series of games.  Also, each team will have equitable practices and home games allocated based on the original registration fees charged.
