Summary of Meeting November 10, 2009

  • This was the first meeting in three months with a quorum, the new Board was elected. The meeting minutes from August and September were approved by the Board; no minutes were taken in October.
  •  The Board maintains two Calendars, Calendar A dates that do not change once determined, this includes Board Meetings (Second Tuesday of each month, 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from April - July), registration days, Opening Day and Closing Day. This Calendar was approved by the Board. The second Calendar has dates that are contingent on outside sources such as pancake breakfast and clinics, this calendar remains as a draft for the season.
  • Early registration is January 23 and February 6, the Board reviewed Flyers, Registration Forms and FAQ's needed for registration. Advertising was discussed with items going into Tri City Voice, Argus Shorts, and postcards to be sent.
  • Bills were paid and new Treasurer's procedures were reviewed.
  • An update to the complex was made, FUSD does not want the Snack Shack to run power to the school. The power will need to go to Nicolet and a separate meter will be maintained for FGSA use. This amount to approximately 2500 feet of cable to be laid.
  • Special softball dirt will be added to Brookvale fields by FGSA

Volunteer Rewards Program

To maintain our Volunteer Rewards Program a new 1st Vice President will need to be elected. This program was very successful and the teams responded to the challenge. If you are interested in assisting the Board please call 510 315-4950

Tammie Kim is the Fundraising Director, Sponsor Director and 10U Division Director. She will be sending sponsor letters out this month and next month. If you want to be a sponsor for an FGSA team notify Tammie Kim at 510-325-4950
