Tomcats vs. NKC Legends Dragons
It was a perfect day for a soccer game, slightly cloudy, 75 degrees and the Tomcats excited and ready to build on the success of the previous week. But you do have to play the game and the Dragons caught us a little off guard and they prevailed 6 - 0 , our record falls to 2 - 3 - 0 = 6 pts with 3 games to play.
(the forfeit on 090608 against Futura, has been rescheduled for 101808 at 10:15am in Tiffany Springs and the points have been taken away from us)
Our Tomcats had the energy to play at a high level, but you can't do anything about speed, and our forwards couldn't break thru the Dragon defense to put a goal or a good shot through. Also the Dragon forwards were also very fast and we couldn't cut them off at the angles. In goal John toughed it out and made some good saves. We also had good midfield play, but couldn't stop the breakaways. Looking ahead Futura is in third place in our division, one point ahead of us, and based on their previous games are averaging almost 5 goals for and only allowing 2 goals against. Lets get em' Tomcats !
