Hustlers Finish With 20 - 10 Record In Baltimore Metro League

The Hustlers finish their 2009 season with 20 regular season wins.  They finished 2nd in the West Division and 4th overall in Metro League.  They finished ranked 8th overall in the state by Maryland Baseball Rankings Site. 

They are in search several committed players for their 2010 roster.

To get the most out of your abilities, you need to challenge yourself against the best players at the highest levels.
The Hustlers are looking for a good pitcher or a very strong hitter.

April 4th thru April 5th 2009 Tournament results
Pool Play:
Hustlers vs. DC Baseball(Win: 14-0 in 4 innings)
Hustlers vs. GORC Wildcats(Win: 7 - 1)
Quater-Finals:
Hustlers vs. North Carroll Thunder(Win: 11 - 2)
Semi-Finals:
Hustlers vs. MD Baseball Academy (#1 seed)(Loss: 5 - 1)

Hustlers finish 3rd going 3-1 and only gave up 8 runs in 4 games.
Big bats, strong pitching and great defense lead Hustlers to the semis.

 

March 28th thru March 29th 2009 Tournament results
Pool Play:
Hustlers vs.  VA Patriots (Win: 5 - 1)
Hustlers vs. Hughesville Hustlers (Win: 2 - 0)
Quater-Finals:
Hustlers vs. Charlottesville Tornados (Win: 7 - 2)
Semi-Finals:
Hustlers vs. Outlawz (Win: 4 - 3)
Championship:
Hustlers vs. VA Patriots (Win: 7 - 6)

Hustlers go 5-0 for the tournament giving up only 12 runs.
Dominant pitching by Colson Kirchner, Austin Main and Chandler Redmond coupled with very strong defense help propel the Hustlers to the championship. 

In pool play against the VA Patriots the big bats of the Hustlers prove too much for this powerful VA team.
Back to back home runs by Chandler Redmond and Nick Stegman helped spark the Hustlers to a win. 

In the Semi's against the Outlawz, the Hustlers go into extra innings in a real nail-biter.  Playing under international rules, in the bottom of the 7th, Nick Stegman drives in Chandler Redmond for the game winning RBI with a deep shot to Right.

And in the Championship against the VA Patriots, Chaz Christy hit a sensational walk off HR to give the Hustlers the victory!  

October 25th thru October 26th 2008 Tournament results
Pool Play:
Hustlers vs. Clarksburg Coyotes (Win: 10 - 0)
Semi-Final:
Hustlers vs. Winchester Wildcats (Win: 17 - 8)
Championship:
Hustlers vs. West Loudon County (Win: 9 - 3)

In pool play the Hustlers Run Ruled the Coyotes 10-0 in 4 Innings.  
In the semi's the Hustlers hit Winchester with big bats and run-ruled them in 5 innings. 
Then in the championships, hitting and superb pitching took down the team from West Loudon County 9-3.

Now the Hustlers look forward to the Spring 2009 season.
