Welcome to another exciting fastpitch softball season with the Lady Flyers. The Lady Flyers finished the 2008 season with a 23-16 record. The Lady Flyers started fastpitch softball in 1995 and have compiled an overall record of 339-153-3. Making them the twelfth most winning team in the state. They have won eleven district titles, one district runnersup, been regional runnersup three times and have won one regional title. Two players were lost to graduation last season. The Lady Flyers have been working hard over the winter months with conditioning. Their dedication and determination will prove to make this a successful season.
Three seniors, two juniors, nine sophomores, three freshman and one eighth grader return to make this a well balanced and competitive team. Several freshmen and newcomers have shown interest in trying to join the varsity team when tryouts start February 16th. Competition should be great for starting positions.
Among our goals this year will be to win the district and regional tournament. We realize this will take extremely hard work and dedication as well as playing as a TEAM to achieve these goals. We know the eleventh region is one of the toughest in the state, but we feel when we come together as a TEAM no one can stop us!!!
