eteamz footballIn 1998...1st Seasoneteamz football
the Frankfort Square Wildcats were formed and competed in their first season of football in the Metro Youth Football League. In 1998 we posted respectable results for a 1st year program. Our Junior PeeWees got the ball rolling with a very impressive 5-2 record. Our PeeWees went on to a 3-5 record, Widgets barely missed the playoffs with a 5-3 record. The Juniors rounded out the reason as well at 3-5.

eteamz footballThen came 1999....2nd Seasoneteamz football
The coaching staffs worked hard in the off-season preparing for a remarkable season. The Cats Junior PeeWees jumped out early and went on to go undefeated with a 6-0-1 reccord.
The PeeWees opened the season against a mighty Lansing team with a 20-0 win. The Cats would go on and remain unscored upon until the Super Bowl. Facing the always strong Oak Lawn Outlaws....the Cats had their work cut out for them. Both teams would score once...to force a 6-6 halftime tie. It took all of the half-time for the Wildcats to regroup and shake the cobwebs from their helmets. The 2nd half proved to be theirs...as they came back to win the Wildcats first Super Bowl 13-12.
The Widgets faced tough competition week in and out....and posted a decent 3-5 record.
After the Juniors suffered a 14-0 loss in week 1 to the Lansing Lions..the Cats regrouped and took the Metro league by storm. They went on to win their remaining games to force a rematch with Lansing in the Super Bowl. The Cats would win the rematch by a score of 19-12 and earned the Wildcats 2nd Super Bowl Championship.

eteamz footballYear 2000....3rd Seasoneteamz football
The Cats success at the upper levels is a direct result of the hard work our Junior PeeWees practice. Once again...this group went out and played awesome football posting a 6-1 record.
The PeeWees continued their undefeated season from 1999...to go increase their 2 year record to 20-0. Along the way they win the Cats 3rd Super Bowl Championship....the PeeWee's 2nd title.
The Widgets dusted off their double-wing playoffs...and posted a 7-1 regular season record. The Cats stumbled in the 1st round of the playoffs....losing to the eventual champs, Lansing 8-0.

eteamz football2001...4th Seasoneteamz football
The Junior PeeWee's post another undefeated record finishing 2001 out with a 7-0 record.
At 29-0 the PeeWees feeling the pressures of going 3 years undefeated...fall to a very strong Lansing Lions team 18-28 in the Super Bowl.
The Widgets....hungry for a title at this level...go out and scores 271pts enroute to a 10-0 season and the Cats 4th Super Bowl Championship. The Widgets first title.
The Juniors get back on track and post a respectable 5-4 recordloasing a close one in the playoffs to Oak Lawn.

eteamz football2002...5th Seasoneteamz football
The Junior PeeWees remained undefeated in 2002 with a 9-0 record. Brining their 2 year record to 16-0. Very impressive for this age group.
The PeeWees would be back to their winning ways winning the AFC title with an 8-0 record. The Cats would take a fall in the 1st round of the playoffs to the Oak Lawn Outlaws...19-8.
The Widgets looking to win back 2 back titles goes on to do just that...winning the Wildcat Organization their 5th Super Bowl Championships...and the Widgets 2nd title.
The Juniors post a 5-3 record and not make the playoffs? Not to worry...2003 is just around the corner...

eteamz football2003...6th Seasoneteamz football
The Junior PeeWees once again prove to be very consistent and post a 9-1 record. Along the way the Cats win the first ever Hessville Tournament of Champions.
Can the PeeWees win their 3rd Championship? You bet they can...with a 10-0 record. The Cats went on to defeat the Orland Knights as the once again fought back from being down. The PeeWee's win the Organizations 6th Super Bowl Title...and their 3rd PeeWee Super Bowl.
The Widgets hung tough with a 5-3 regular season..before losing in the 1st round of the playoffs.
Hungry for a championship at the Junior level...the team came out of the gates strong. The Juniors went on to not only win the Wildcats 7th Super Bowl Title...with a 10-0 record, they also went on to win the 1st ever Cross-town Classic with Mokena. The Cats finished out their season as the 2003 US Football National Champs.

eteamz football2004...7th Seasoneteamz football
The Junior PeeWee Cats would finish out the 2004 season with 52 wins, 5 losses & 1 tie. The also captured their 2nd back 2 back Hessville Tournament of Champions title.
The PeeWees would go on to avenge an early season blowout and defeat the Colts for the Cats 8th Title..and the PeeWees 4th Super Bowl Championship. The PeeWees close 2004 out with a 60 - 8....7 year record.
The Widgets posted a very impressive 7-2 record. In 7 years they post a very impressive 46-17 record with 2 Super Bowl Titles.
The Juniors shocked all as they went 6-2. A few late season ending injuries would hurt the Cats in the playoffs...as they finish their Metro schedule at 6-3. The Cats would go on to win their 2nd Cross-Town classic title defeating Mokena once again. The Juniors finish with a 7 year record of 45 wins, 22 losses.

As an organization the Cats have a record of 203 wins - 52 losses - 1 tie. 8 Metro League Championships, 2 Cross-Town Championships, 2 Hessville Tournament of Champions Titles, and a US Football National Title. eteamz football

Your 1999 PeeWee Superbowl Champions
The PeeWee Wildcats 1999 Super Bowl Champs!
The Frankfort Square PeeWee Wildcats are 1999 Super Bowl Champs!! The Wildcats completed their undefeated season by defeating the Oak Lawn Outlaws 13-12. Congratulations to the Wildcats in only their second season as a youth football and cheer organization. They proved they can play with some of the best.

The Wildcats opened the game with an impressive drive against the toughest defense they'd seen all season. Quarterback Brendan Mulheran drove the team to the 5 yard line with a huge 1st down on a play action option around the right end for a 15 yard gain. With a 1st down and goal to go, behind the great blocking of Dan Pirkle and Kyle Houlahan, Tom Lilja powered his way in for the TD. The Wildcat defense had an early wake-up call when the Outlaws broke a 60 yard run for an answering touchdown on a no-nonsense call right up the middle by all purpose back D. Hettiger. The defense, until this time unscored upon all season, knew they were in for a battle. Anchored by Brendan Mulheran (10 tackles) and Dan Pirkle (7 tackles) the defense provided the fans with a great defensive show to keep the powerful Outlaw offense out of the endzone again before the end of the first half. Half-time score: Wildcats 6, Outlaws 6.

The Outlaws continued on their attack in the 3rd quarter with an impressive time-consuming drive to the Wildcat 4 yard line. The Outlaws then appeared to be stopped, but heads-up running and a great effort by M. Wolski breaking to the outside put the Outlaws up by 6 with only 9:00 left in the game.

The Wildcats calmly took over on their own 40 yard line. Solid blocking by the offensive line of Ryan Walenga, Zack Smorch, Dan Giordano, Joe Turek, Kyle Harke, Dan Pirkle, and Kyle Houlahan allowed the Cats to march inside the Outlaws 5 when Matt Pirkle drove over for the tying TD. The consistent running of Dan Cebula, Matt Kuvakos, Tom Lilja, and Matt Pirkle had the Outlaws off balance. The game clock was down to almost 2:00 and the Cats needed the extra point to go ahead. The offense called on their QB one more time as Brendan Mulheran, with lead blocking by Tom Lilja, swept right untouched for the go-ahead point.

With the score Wildcats 13, Outlaws 12, the Outlaws mounted their last drive. Great runs by Wolski and Hettiger brought the Outlaws to the 25 yard line of the Wildcats. The Cats defense rose to the occasion. Great plays by Nate Borowski, Dan Giordano, Kyle Smith and Andrew Kasik forced the Outlaws to 4th and 10 with 6 seconds left. The last play was as intense as the first play of the game. The Outlaws rolled left looking for a receiver but was forced to scramble and was taken down behind the line by Dan Giordano of the Wildcats. Congratulations to the PeeWee Wildcats on their perfect undefeated Championship season.

Wildcat Widgets 14
Lansing Lions 0

The WIDGETS won their first title by defeating Lansing Lions 14-0. It was a battle of the undefeated teams and the Wildcats came out to play. Shutting down the Lions offense the Cats took position on the Lions 40. On the first play Dan Cebula explodes off tackle and races 60 yards for a TD! Wildcats quickly go up 6-0. The defense proved to be to strong for the Lions running game as they were kept in check the entire afternoon. During the 2nd quarter the Cats were knocking on the door again. On 4th down needing 1 yard for a first, Brendan Mulerhan on a QB sneak rumbled and tumbled his way 20 yards breaking numerous tackles for the Cats 2nd TD of the afternoon. Kyle Houlahan added the point after kick to make the score 14-0. The Widgets finished the season with a perfect 10-0 record. Congratulations to all of the Wildcats boys and girls for another successful year!

2002 WIDGET SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!
Wildcats 28 vs. Mt. Greenwood 16

Defending their title the Wildcats defeated the Colts 28 - 16 to win thier 2nd championship in back to back seasons. The Colts deferred the opening kick-off selecting to give the Wildcats the ball. This sparked the fire that the offense was looking for and they made them pay the price. Dan Cebula took the first carry 30 yards and the Cats offense never looked back. The offensive line led the way to the endzone driving the Colts back for 6pts. The Cats defense was unable to stop a great drive from the Colts and found themselves down 8-6. After a booming kick by the Colts which pinned the Cats back on their 20 yard line the Cats needed a big play. On the Cats first play, Dan Cebula raced 80 yards for a Cats TD. Creating huge holes and enable Cebula to score untouched were Joe Turek, Kyle Pena, Matt Lysik, Matt Pirkle, Andrew Kasik and Frank Strobel. Pena converted the point after making the score 14-8. The Cats would score again in the 2nd half making the score 20-8. The Colts never quit however, fighting to the end. They battled their way to the endzone making some great plays to close the gap 20-16. The Coaches again asked the offensive line to lead them to the endzone. Shane Sweeney, Joe Michals, Chris Bruno, Jacob Raczek, Kevin Chathas, Joe Turek, Frank Strobel, and Andrew Kasik answered the call, as they opened up huge holes allowing the Cats to move the ball and take time off the clock. With the Colts defense on their heels getting pancaked and pushed back, Cebula, Pirkle, Lysik and Pena moved the chains 60 yards. With the ball on the 10 yard line, Pena followed Michals, Sweeney, and Turek up the middle for the Cats final TD. The Cats would recovery the onside kick, and go on to defeat the Colts 28-16. Congratulations to the Widgets on a great season. We are all very proud of your hard work and dedication. Also we would like to congratulate the Cats offensive line for enabling Dan Cebula to rush for over 200 yards against a great Colt Defense, and to have over 1000 yards rushing in a season. Without the blocking from Joe Turek, Shane Sweeney, Andrew Kasek, Frank Strobel, Joe Michals, Chris Bruno, Kevin Chathas, Jacob Raczek, Kyle Pena, Matt Lysik and Matt Pirkle none of that would have been achieved.

Down by 2 TD's the Wildcat PeeWees came back and defeated the Orland Knights 32 - 28 to capture the 2003 Metro Youth Football PeeWee Super Bowl Championship. Every player left it on the field, never giving up. Two 10-0 teams meet for the Championship Game….Wildcats vs Orland Knights. The Wildcats with their back to the wall needed a big play to gain back the momentum. Holder provided the answer returning the opening kick-off of the 2nd half all the way for a TD. Once again the Cats would find themselves behind late in the 4th quarter, time for another big play. This time Hannigan steps up to the line, and races his way around end for the go ahead TD. With minutes remaining in the game, the Cats defense needed to find a way to stop the powerful Knights Offense. Big Cat Markasovic led the defensive attack coming up with 2 BIG stops…forcing Orland to turn the ball over on downs. Great job to the PeeWees and to Coach Mulheran on his 3rd Super Bowl Championship!

Not to be out down the Juniors finished off their dominating season with another HUGE win over the Colts 43 - 6. Big time hits were delivered across the board, Matt Pirkle had the "crushing" hit of the day with a killer sideline block to spring Cebula free for a TD. Lilja, Smith, Turek, Pena, and Giordano led the Cats defense as they once again dismantled the Colts offense. The win improved the Juniors overall record to 11-0, and giving the majority of this group their 5th Super Bowl Championship. Congratulations to the Juniors on your most impressive run over the years.

The Junior PeeWees come out on top winning the Hessville Tournament of Champions for the 2nd year in a row. This morning the Mighty Cats took it to Hegewisch defeating the Bulldogs 18-6. The Cats stellar defense proved to be to strong for the Evergreen Park Stallions as the Wildcats won 14-0. The o-line dominated the line of scrimmage against a very good Stallion team. The Cats defense did an awesome job in stopping the Stallions strong running game. Gang tackling helped stop the sweep and secure another shut-out for the Cats. The board would like to congratulate Head Coach Bill Klaver, Offensive Coaches Bob Roberts & Kyle Klaver, Defensive Coaches Jim Hermle & Craig Erikson. These 5 coaches took a very young team and turned them into Champions. Your hard work and dedication payed off as these Wildcats won the Hessville Tournament of Champions for the 2nd year in a row! Wildcat Juniors St. Louis Trip Resultseteamz football

The Junior Wildcats lost there opening round game to the St. Charles,
Missouri Buccaneers 28-0 on Thanksgiving Day. The Wildcats hung tough
trailing 7-0 at half but could not muster any offense on the sloppy track giving up 21 unanswered 2nd half points.

On Friday the Junior cats faced the Kirkwood, Missouri Cowboys. After
giving up an early score, the Wildcats drove 70 yards scoring on a 15 yard TD pass play from Joe Brynda to Ezra Thompson. Brett Thomaston added the 2 point kick to put the cats up 8-7 at half. The second half was a defensive struggle until Kirkwood scored early in the 4th Quarter to go up 14-8. The cats could not convert two 4th quarter drives and yielded a late score to lose 20-8.

The Junior Cats ended their season with a 16-0 victory over the Alsip
Falcons. The defense dominated creating 5 turnovers limiting the Falcon offense to 3 first downs in the game. Matt Goggin connected with Ezra Thompson on a 28 yard Td Pass for the Cats first score early in the 2nd quarter. Brett Thomaston added the 2 pt. Kick to give the cats a 8-0 halftime lead.

The Cats used ball control in the second half scoring early in the 4th
quarter on a 7 yard TD run by Tait Erikson. Brett Thomaston again added the 2 pt. kick making the score 16-0. The Falcon offense was stymied in the 4th quarter as Jeff Trost intercepted two passes to seal the victory.

Coach Pirkle would like to thank the Junior players who battled a blizzard on the way down to St. Louis, 3 teams twice their size, and a bus that would not start. They have been a resilient group of young men. Kudos to the Junior parents who also braved the elements. Their support and enthusiasm was by far the most impressive showing by any team at the tournament.

2004 PeeWee Back 2 Back Champs

Back 2 Back Champions!
Congratulations to the 2004 Metro League Super Bowl Champions...Frankfort Square Wildcat PeeWees! Mulherans's peewee's finished 10-1 on the season defeating the Colts today by a score of 14-7.
The Cats took the field today as the underdogs against a very good Colt team that defeated them earlier in the season. The Cats attached the Colts today showing no fear. The O-line had their best outing of the season helping move the ball effectively to take a early 6-0 lead.
The Colts answered back with a big play off tackle to tie the game up at 6. They converted the extra point to go up 7-6 at half. The Wildcats would score one more time in the 2nd half as Markasovic scored his 2nd TD of the afternoon. The 2pt conversion was successful this time around....Wildcats 14 - Colts 7. Mulheran kept to his game plan and it proved to be successful as the Cats defense kept a very explosive #20 in check the rest of the afternoon. One late charge from the Colts was spoiled by a stingy defense and a key interception by Wallace sealed the win.

The Wildcat Board would like to Congratulate Head Coach Brian Mulheran on his 4th Super Bowl Championship, Offensive Coaches Dave Sylvester, Mark Colao, Don Borowski, Line Coach Mike Lilja, and Defensive Coaches Mulheran & Bob Hiemer.

Super Bowl Results
The Wildcats came up short in the win column on Saturday, however, the heart and determination by both the PeeWees and Juniors was amazing. The PeeWee's got off to a late start, but finished strong. T. Markasovic forced a fumble, while M. Murray was there to catch the ball...and rumble & stumble his way across midfield with 40 seconds left. That fumbled stopped a late surge by Lansing and giving Frankfort one last attempt. The boys left it all on the field, and finished the season with a very impressive 10-1 record. The Juniors battled Hessville, and like the PeeWee's fell short. The boys played with heart, class and determination. Nobody expected this group to make it the Super Bowl, but these boys continue to amaze us all. From the opening kick-off...to the final whistle, these boys played their hearts out. I for one...couldn't be prouder to be a Wildcat after the display of sportmanship and class that both Wildcat teams displayed. Congratulations to all on another outstanding season...and good luck to the Juniors in Florida!

We are all very proud of everything you accomplished. Congratulations to Coach Mulheran and his staff for your time and dedication.

Our Widgets lost a heartbreaker to Lansing 16-0. Both teams played outstanding football...and you couldn't ask for anything more from the boys. They played with their hearts for 40 minutes and left it all on the field. Even though the Cats fell short on the score board...these boys are all still winners. Congratulations to the Widgets on a great successful season...we are all very proud of your accomplishments.

Junior PeeWees...DO IT AGAIN!!!
Frankfort Square Super Pee Wee’s Capture 4th Straight Fall Brawl Championship

November 11, 2006 - The Frankfort Square Junior Pee Wee’s defeated the Lansing Lions 23-6 to capture their 4th straight Fall Brawl Championship. The day started with the Frankfort Square Wildcats facing a tough Hegewisch Bulldog team. The Wildcats triumphed 34-6 in less than ideal field conditions. The Cats line play on both sides of the ball proved too much as the Wildcats jumped out to a 22-0 halftime lead.   Mike Markasovic, Mike Buckley, Liam McGuire, Jake McLaughlin, Ethan Klosak, Brad White, Dominic Novelli, Garrett Palmer, and Giovanni Garcia opened up huge holes for running backs Ben Troike, Patrick Troike, Mark Myers, and Drew Slager.

The second half featured Jack Hinkleman, Luke Bice, Dominic Camerino, Drew Chesla, Matt Cooke, Aric Faller, Kyle Genis, Joey Guch, Tyler Patton, Dillon Peterson, Tyler Lindgren, Mike Lowy, and Nicholas Pervin and as their aggressive defense and ball control offense helped preserve the win for the Cats.

In the Championship Game, the Wildcats continued with their aggressive play. A swarming Wildcat defense prevented the Lions from moving the ball much of the game. As the field conditions worsened, the Wildcats went into halftime with a 15-0 lead on touchdown runs by Ben Troike and Mark Myers, and a 2 point conversion by Drew Slager. A special mention goes out to Tommy Budney who missed the first game due to illness.   Tommy sat on the sideline for the Championship game and was the inspirational leader for the Wildcats.

Lansing received the second half kick and turned the ball over on their first play. The Cats quickly capitalized as they marched 30 yards for another score, increasing their lead to 23-0.   With less than a minute to go, Lansing put 6 points on the board to make the final score 23-6.

The Junior Pee Wee’s finish the year with an undefeated record of 12-0.

The Wildcats would like to recognize the outstanding job that our Junior PeeWee Coaching staff has done this year. To Head Coach Jim “Herms” Hermle, Bob Roberts, Craig Erickson, Dan Wortel, Tim Meade and Kyle Klaver...the time and dedication that you all give to this group of young men is outstanding. This marks the retirement of Bob Roberts and the Wildcat Organization would like to congratulate Bob for a job well done!

Palos Lightning                             18
The Wildcats started the scoring on their opening drive. After several big runs by Brendan Gallagher and Joey Markasovic, Ryan Berger capped it off with a 1 yard touchdown dive. Palos then tied the score at 6-6. They also added another touchdown just before the half to make the score 12-6.
The Wildcats never gave up and forced Palos to give up the ball on their first drive of the second half. The Wildcats were unable to score however and the Lightening went on to win the game.
The JR Pee Wee's had a GREAT season and should be proud of everything that they accomplished this year. The coaching staff did an outstanding job this year.
Good Luck to all of the JR PeeWee's that are moving up to the Pee Wee team next year, I am sure they will all do a tremendous job again next year.
All of the JR PeeWee's that are staying down for another year have one thing to say... look out Metro League because the Wildcats are coming after you !!!!
