2008 Wildcat Scholarship Winners
Congratulations to Samantha Klaver and Dan Cebula as our 2008 Scholarhip winners! Samantha is attending Kansas State University and majoring in Psycology. Dan is attending Drake University. He was a 3 yare LWE Varsity RB starter and played on the 2005 LWE 8A football state championship team.
2007 Wildcat Scholarship Winners![]()
The Wildcats Organization is proud to announce Renee Mailhoit and Brendan Mulheran as winners of our 2007 Wildcat Scholarhip Award. Each was presented with a check for $500 to be used toward his or her college education. Renee Mailhoit, cheered for LWE poms for four years, where she served as captain of the Varsity squad. While at LWE, Renee earned recognition for academics as part of the High Honor Roll and National Honor Society, as well as graduating in the top 10% of her class. Renee now attend the University of Illinois where she is majoring in Journalism with a minor in English.
Brendan Mulheran was the recipient of the 2007 Wildcats Scholarship for football. While attending LWE, Brendan was captain of the Griffin's Varsity football and baseball programs. He was a member of the National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Pi Sigma Pi, as well as being named to the 2007 Illinois Academic All-State team. Brendan is currently attending the University of Notre Dame, where he is studying engineering.
2006 Wildcat Scholarship Winners![]()
Julie Vaughan of Marian Catholic High School received the second annual Frankfort Square Wildcats Scholarship for cheerleading. She will be attending University of Missouri, Columbia in the Fall. Her academic accomplishments include: Honor Roll and members of National Honors Society as well as Quill and Scroll, a journalism honors society. Vaughan served her school newspaper as the Managing Editor her junior year and as the Editor-in-Chief her senior year. She participated in cheerleading all four years at Marian and played lacrosse her junior and senior year. Additionally, Vaughan volunteered as a cheerleading coach for the Wildcat’s cheerleading program for four years.
Cory Swaim of Lincoln-Way East High School received the first annual Frankfort Square Wildcats Scholarship for football. Cory will be attending the University of Chicago this Fall where he will continue on to play football for the Maroons and major in Economics. Cory’s academic accomplishment includes: 3.9 GPA, High Honors, member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Pi Sigma Pi. Cory was named to the 2005 Academic All-State team as well as a 4x Scholar Athlete. Cory was a 4 year starter for the Griffins at OLB and one of the captains for the 2005 8A State Champions football team. Additionally, Swaim volunteered his free time to help coach for the Wildcats football program.
2005 Wildcat Scholarship Awards Winner is....Erika Wasilewski![]()

On behalf of the Wildcat Board we would like to congratulate Erika Wasilewski as our 2005 Wildcat Scholarship Award Winner. Erika spent 3 season with us as a Cheerleader, along with assisting as a Junior PeeWee Cheer coach for 1 season. Erika graduated from Lincoln-Way East High School with a 3.641 GPA! During her 4 years at East she cheered for boys football & basketball and also particpated on the Varsity Poms her Junior/Senior year. Erika also spent 2 years with the Chorale Choir and could be heard singing the National Anthem before many area sporting events.
Erika will be attending Illionis State University where she plans on majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in Public Relations. As our Wildcat Sholarship Award winner, Erika will be awarded a $500 scholarship to be applied towards her tuition.
