Saturday, November 28 Invitcus, Polar Bear Game, AGM The local Fort Wayne Area Rugby Teams have united together for a showing of Invictus. The movie stars Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, and is directed by Clint Eastwood. It not only the story of the South African Rugby World Cup victory in 1995; the first global sporting event that South Africa could participate in with the end of Apartheid.
We have rented the Carmike Theater on Dupont and Diebold road for Sunday, December 13. The doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the movie starts at 11:00. The cost is only $5.75 per person. Friends and Family are welcome.
Since it is getting close to Christmas, we encourage everyone to bring canned or boxed food to donate to the local charities. The theater will seat 250 people and we are hoping to fill all the seats. Ruggers and rugby fans are encouraged to wear their respective rugby team jerseys. Our annual Polar Bear game will be held directly after the game at Northside park. This is a 'friendly' match of motley players from Fort Wayne or near Fort Wayne between the 'Black' and the "Blue".
We will also, again, attempt to have the AGM at O's after the polar bear game.

If your dues have not been paid you must pay them before the meeting to be permitted to participate in the meeting. And yes, participation does entail at least one free beer from Mad Anthony's microbreweries selections. Wednesday, August 5 Fall game and training schedules The fall schedule has been posted. Practices begin August 11 at Northwood Middle School, beginning at 6pm. The Fort Wayne Rugby Football Club is pleased to invite you to the 40th Annual Three Rivers Rugby Tournament, the longest running summer rugby tournament in the Midwest. The tournament will be held at the Concordia Theological Seminary! Tents are available for rental at Bob Mutton (phone number: 260-432-8636). They will deliver and set the tents up for you at the park. If you need assistance with tent rental, please let one of us know. Double elimination for 1st two round on Saturday, July 18th. We will be including a U-19 Division again this year on Sunday July 19th. We will also be hosting a motley-style Women’s game on Saturday, July 18 and an Old Boys games, July 18. A 40th Anniversary social/bash will follow the last game on Saturday. Late entries are acceptable, but must be accompanied with fee payment. The Fort Wayne Rugby Football Club was founded in 1969 making it the one of the oldest of all sports clubs in Indiana and our states oldest adult rugby team. We are proud members of the Michigan Rugby Union and the Midwest Regional Rugby Union. Our team, coaches and referees are accredited through the National USA Rugby organization and the International Rugby Board. Our mission is to continue the growth of an organized non-profit rugby club open all persons regardless of skill levels and experience. This provides you with membership into USA Rugby, as well as liability insurance to cover you due to any incident that may happen while you are playing.
