Impressed there is now a website! FWRC has come a long way since I was shanghied in 1972 at a Beer Blast put on by the Club, harassed by Lopez and Davis and wound up waking up the next morning out at Franke Park on the pitch, to be told I could play the B Side match. Great memories of the mates, some still kicking and some gone (BP, Hamm, etc.). Here's to Davis, Dago, Faust, Leroy, Lopez, Tom S and all the others! Limp on into the sunset guys and may all you youngsters have the wealth of memories I still cherish!

I started my rugby career with Ft Wayne in fall of 1971. I have been playing ever since that season. I still have my Black & Blue jersey with the Three Rivers insignia. We had a great time on the Ft. Wayne Rugby Mobile club house – (an old school bus) for the away games.

Gents... great tournament! I appreciated the opportunity to get out there and play with you. And the final (despite the outcome) was the best old tyme rugby that I have seen since we stomped the Texas Invitational Touring Sides saddle horns into the dirt back in the early nineties.

I had a revelation. An epiphany to you Catholics... let's start scheduling Spring 2009 now. We should hit all the clubs we used to play, Louisville, Indy, Milwaukee, South Side Irish, Fox Valley, Queen City, Toledo, Battle Creek and a few of the othe Hitler youth. I, for one, will kick in extra money to the Black and Blue for bus rental, so we can play as many away matches as possible. Throw Traverse City in there for a long weekend, and the season could be very, very ugly!

Hey, you guys should prob put some contact information up, this is the best median I have come up with.
This is Steve McNamara Match Secratary/Webmaster for Michiana. I see you were planning on going to Whisky 10's. We have approx 8 committed and if you have numbers we were wondering if you could spare a few players. If not, then we will look to Who-are (they wont let you cuss or something...) out from some other teams or actually pull people out of the wood works from our own team. Either way, a response to webmaster@michianarugby.org would be much appreciated

Golden Oldies 2008 news. Gentlemen, for the past year I have been asking folks to send me money to put in a fund for the trip. As only 2 people have done so, it is imperative that you get Shark your money NOW.
Thanks,
