Booster Club President Welcome

To The Families of FWBHS Lady Viking Softball Players,

How exciting it is to be a part of the Lady Viking Softball program!  If you are a first year player, welcome to what is going to prove to be a season filled with long-lasting memories; and, for the returning families, with progression like we have seen in the past three seasons, we can only expect great things.  As you may know, high school athletics continue to be self-supporting organizations which depend on its players, players’ families and communities to raise the necessary funds in order for our teams to play.

The paperwork for program ads and banner sales was sent home with your player.  This is a great time to solicit businesses to support our program as everyone is in the giving spirit!  New banners are $350/$250 (depending on the sizes) and if turned in before January 24th, the business will receive a free 1/4 page ad in our program and their banner will hang on the fencing surrounding our field; renewal banners are $150.   Program ads are business card size, 1/4 page, 1/2 page and full page.  The back inside and outside covers of the program are available for $150 (inside cover goes to Matthews, Hawkins & Jones).  Parents, you can do a personalized ad for your player which we call "Happy Ads".  These ads are the same pricing as the business ads.  This is a great way for grandparents, friends and family to show their support.

Parents and players remember, you need to raise your player's fees ($600) in order to play.  Neither the school nor county support any athletic programs which is why we need each player to raise their funds.  The money goes to replacement of uniforms, equipment, umpires, transportation, insurance, field maintenance, coaches' salary, just to name a few.  Fundraising is made available to all so we don't have to reach in our own pockets.  The fundraisers we have set up are easy ones, it just takes your effort.  The greater the effort, the greater the reward!  Some of our players have already reached and surpassed their goals!  This is going to be a remarkable season.  Let's make sure each and everyone of us is a major player in the success!

We want to give our players every opportunity for success and this will need our help.  The Booster Club has set up several fundraisers to help each player raise the necessary funds for them to play as we do not want to have to ask each and every family for money out of pocket.  However, if the necessary funds are not raised through personal donations, community donations or fundraising, then we will have no other option than to ask for the money out of pocket.     Let’s make this a successful season both on and off the field.  With all of our support, the FWBHS Lady Viking Softball Team will be a force to reckon with!  Any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 502-0673, no27zmom@gmail.com or stop by Lenny’s Sub Shop on Eglin Parkway!

GO LADY VIKINGS!!
