3. What happens now that I have signed up?
For players registered in tee-ball, your child will be contacted by your coach once teams are selected (usually by early April).
For all other age groups we will hold a tryout, which your player must attend. The players will be rated by the coaches in attempt to equalize the teams when they are drafted. All players will be drafted on a team. Once the draft is complete you will be contacted by your coach (usually the beginning of April).
4. When does the season start and end?
The regular season typically starts the first Saturday in May and ends just prior to the 4th of July.
5. What equipment will they need?
A baseball glove, protective cup, baseball pants (best to wait until your team decides on a color)
non-metal baseball shoes. Only players in Junior or Senior League can use shoes with metal
spikes.
6. Can we select the coach and/or teammates?
When you are registering your child you may ask to be placed on a certain team or with a certain child. FGLL will do our best to arrange it; however, we cannot guarantee it.
7. Can we play in Fort Gratiot if we don’t live in the area?
Yes, however, if your child does not reside in Fort Gratiot or Clyde Township they will not be eligible for All-Star play.
8. When and where are the games played?
Most games are played Monday through Friday. In addition most games are played at Fort Gratiot Little League Park, located behind Fort Gratiot Middle School. Make –up Games could be held on Saturdays. You will be given a schedule prior to the start of the season with all of the details.
