FALL SEASON ENDS!
SOX PLAY 3 GAMES IN 3 DAYS!
Forney, TX - A Season dampened by rain, storms and muddy fields... ends on a beautiful clear sunny day! The White Sox would face the Forney Rangers Thursday night and then turn around and play both the Forney Gators and the Rangers again for a double-header on Saturday!
The Sox were a little rusty on Thursday but gave the Rangers a good game. On Saturday, they began to gel... too bad the season came to an end! However, it is Fall Ball and the White Sox did come away with much accomplished!
Pitching looked good and there was some excellent performances this weekend! Noah completely shut down the Rangers on Saturday and Brandon R looked great against the Gators! Andy was strong on Thursday and Jacab continued his easy going style!
In the field, we had some outstanding plays... Taylor made a great catch in Left-Field; Weston and Nick were great at Shortstop; Zack played well at third base! Brandon R and Brandon A played a fine second base. Brandon R was introduced to first-base and was awesome! Noah, Jacob and Brandon R made some excellent defensive plays on the mound while Spencer (as always), Jacob and Jon were solid behind the plate!
With the bat, none was better than our Captain, Weston! Jacob had some lumber as well as Andy, Brandon R, Brandon A!
The Forney White Sox organization want to say thank you to Brandon A, Cameron, Taylor and Andy for playing with our team this Fall. We will do our best to Draft you if you are available this Spring! Also, the White Sox want to say goodbye (for now) to Nick who will be moving up to Junior League this coming Spring! Nick is the older brother of Zack and has been with the Sox for the last 3 seasons! He will be missed but hopefully... he will return next Fall!
To all those who left for greener pastures... I hope you found what you are looking for! However, the Forney White Sox will return for one last season this Spring 2010! All I can say is lookout! Don't get in their way! This will be their best season ever! The Forney White Sox will return to the diamond with a new look... new attitude... but with the same desire!

SOX OPEN FALL SEASON PLAYING TWO!
SOX LITTLE RUSTY BUT SHOW SIGNS OF PROMISE!
Forney, TX - The Forney White Sox opened up the U12 2008 Forney Fall Season versus the Forney Royals on a beautiful September day in Forney! The fields never looked better and the crowds were back to watch youth baseball at its best!
The Royals jumped ahead of our White Sox in the top of the first taking advantage of many walks and Sox miscues in the field. However, the our White Sox would answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the first. Zachary would lead off the inning with a base-on-balls. Sam would single followed b a walk to Danny... however, the Sox ralley would be cut short.
The Royals would continue their scoring in the top of the second with no answer from our Sox in the bottom half of the inning. Jon would take to the mound for his first appearance of his career and do a fine job! After all that was said and done, the game ended in the Royals favor. Game balls would be given to Jacob for his fine job as catcher behind the plate and Jon for making a nice play at second base and for his first ever appearance as pitcher.
The Sox would face the Roughriders in the second game of the double header and though they still displayed signs of rust, they faired a tab bit better than that of the first game.
Pitching and hitting looked better, but base-running and fielding was still shaky! Noah would get a nice hit and Sam, Dylan, Jordan would all draw walks, there was not much more to the offence... the bats appeared to weigh 100 lbs!!!!!! Jon did line a rip up the middle only to be nabbed by the pitcher who in turn would turn a triple-play when the White Sox would be caught in a hit-and-run!
After a long day of baseball, the game would end in the favor of the Roughriders. The White Sox would present a game ball to Jordan for making some fine plays both in right field and at second base.

WHITE SOX PICK UP 4 IN THE DRAFT!
BRANDON Z, JON, SHAYNE and ZACHARY JOIN SOX THIS SPRING!
Forney, TX - The Forney White Sox added 4 new players to their roster at the Spring 2008 Draft. Brandon Z... who played with the Sox this past Fall; Jon... who played with the Fury last Spring; Shayne... who last played in T-Ball and Zachary... who played with the Outlaws last Spring.
The White Sox tried to could not pick up Fall players Nolan (who was picked up quickly by the Yankees) and Nathaniel (who was also quickly picked up by the Devil Rays). The White Sox did their best to get both of them but they were taken by other teams very quickly! Good luck to both Nolan and Nathaniel and we'll see you at Mulberry Park this Spring!
Also, the White Sox also have to say goodbye to both John and Mathew, who move up to 11-12 Kid Pitch due to the age restrictions. Also, so-long to long-time White Sox players Chelsea and Jonathan who had been with the club since T-Ball. Good luck and have fun with Soccer!

SOX PLAY AS TO THE END!
TIGHT GAME TO THE END!Forney, TX – The fan favorite Forney White Sox played the second of their twin bill against the neon orange Forney A’s immediately after their battle with the Indians. Weston started on the mound for the pale hose and looked very good! Though he would strike out two batters, the A’s took advantage of one base-on-balls, two fielding errors and two throwing errors to bring three runs across the plate and jump to a quick 3-0 lead! The Sox, in turn, went three up/three down in the bottom half of the first inning despite getting the bat on the ball all three times!Noah came to the mound in the top of the second inning and would hold the A’s scoreless. Despite hitting two batters (he may lead the league in this category), got himself out of the jam by striking out three big hitters! The White Sox answered with 6 runs of their own in the bottom of the second inning to take a 6-3 lead over the A’s! Danny, Dylan, Jonathan and Spencer would start the inning with 4 straight singles! Brandon and Noah would draw walks while Nolan would end the inning with a single.Jacob pitched for the White Sox in the top of the third and gave another fine performance though his control was a little off. The A’s would reach base with 5 walks and bring home 3 runs tying the game at 6. The Sox threatened in the bottom of the third inning and despite loading the bases with walks by Jacob, Danny and Jonathan, the Sox could not manage to bring home a run.The A’s took advantage of a couple of Sox mistakes in the top of the 4th inning and would bring 2 runs across giving them an 8-6 lead. Unfortunately, time would expire giving the game to the A’s 8-6.Game Balls would be given to Jonathan for his nice hit and Noah for his clutch pitching!

SOX BATTLE RIVAL TRIBE!
CLUTCH HITTING HELP SOX COMEBACK AND OVERTAKE INDIANS!
Forney, TX – The Forney White Sox face their rivals the Forney Indians for the second time this Fall season and once again a fun day was had at the ball field! The Indians held the White Sox scoreless in the top of the first inning and then jumped quickly to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Noah started on the mound for the White Sox but quickly found himself in trouble after plunking a couple of batters. Though he would strike a couple of batters, the Indians would manage to score three runners. The White Sox came back strong in the top of the second inning by scoring 6 big runs! Nathaniel and Dylan would start off the inning with a couple of walks followed by Spencer who would rip a single to left-center. Noah would drive home a run with a single over the short-stop head and into left field. Khaliya would leg out an infield hit and Nolan would follow with a base-on-balls. Brandon slapped a grounder behind the runners resulting in another run scored! Walks to Weston, Jacob and Danny would bring in another couple of runs thus ending the inning with the White Sox now leading 6-3.Jacob relieved in the bottom of the second and would fan a couple of batter and be helped by a sensational play by first baseman Danny. The White Sox were up by 2 runs after 2 innings of play! Our White Sox added a couple of insurance runs in the top of the third inning to help secure the lead. Nathaniel led off the inning with a rope hit to left-center that went to the fence. Though he easily made a double on the play, the Indians Center-fielder made a spectacular throw to the shortstop who equally made an incredible throw to the third baseman to gun down Nathaniel who tried to stretch his double to a triple! Dylan followed with a walk and Spencer continued his hot bat with another massive hit to left-center. Noah would walk, Nolan would reach base on an error and Brandon would walk bringing in another run. The Sox would unfortunately strand the bases full but now led 8-4. Danny came to the mound in the bottom of the third inning and held the Tribe scoreless with a couple of strike outs and a nice play by second baseman Khaliya.Nathaniel would smack his second hit of the game in the top of the fourth inning but the game would be called on time with the White Sox winning 8-4! Game Balls would be awarded to Spencer and Nathaniel for their big hitting and Danny for his pitching and fielding!
Monday, October 1
SOX OPEN RANGE!
BIG BATS/SOLID PITCHING LEAD SOX TO VICTORY!
Forney, TX - Our Forney White Sox met up with the Forney Rangers this past Saturday and immediately jumped to a 2 run lead! Weston would draw a base-on-balls and Jacob would belt a double to left-center putting two runners in scoring position. Danny would drill a triple to the center field fence bringing home both runners. The Sox led 2-0 after the first half inning of play.
Jacob started on the mound for the pale hose and would face three batters striking out all three. The Sox continued to swing the hot bats in the top of the second inning scoring 3 more runs! Brandon would slap a base hit to the left side of the infield. Khaliya would walk followed by a single by Weston. Jacob and Danny once again ripped a couple of singles thus putting the Sox ahead 5-0.
Noah would take to the mound in the bottom of the second inning and his speed and form looked good. However, he would let a couple of fastballs get away plunking a couple of Ranger batters. Two strike outs later, Nathaniel would make a fine play at third saving a couple of runs from scoring and putting a stop to the Rangers rally.
Both teams would go scoreless in the third inning. Weston took to the mound in the bottom of the third inning and fanned three out of the four batters he faced! The Sox would score two more insurance runs in the top of the 4th inning. Nolan would lay down a perfect bunt single and Jacob would knock his third hit of the game. Danny then brought both runners home with another rope hit... this time a double to the center field fence!
Danny came in for the Sox in the bottom of the 4th inning and would strike out 3 of the 5 batters that he faced holding the Rangers scoreless! Though the Sox would actually take one pitch in the top of the 5th inning, the game would be called on time with the White Sox taking a 7-2 Victory home!
Game Balls would be awarded to Danny and Jacob for their impressive hitting performances and Nathaniel for his game saving defensive play at third base! The Sox pitchers were also commended on their fine performance... striking out 11 batters in 4 innings of pitch!
Sunday, September 23
SOX BATS ROCK HALOS!
FUNDAMENTAL PLAY WINS IN THEN END!
Forney, TX - Our White Sox faced the Forney Angels for the second time this Fall season but a different team took the field this game... this team had strong pitching, great defense, timely hitting ... the fundamentals of the game that helped the Sox take the Angels 8-5.
Noah started on the mound for the White Sox and held the Angels scoreless in the top of the first inning. The inning was highlighted with and excellent defensive play of a grounder to 1st Baseman Danny going to his right and a perfect toss to pitcher Noah who was covering first for the put out.
The Sox jumped ahead with two runs in the bottom half of the first inning. Nolan led off the inning with a perfect bunt single. Jacob jacked a rope to the left-center fence for a triple bringing home Nolan. Danny would bring him home with a rip single up the middle for the second run of the inning.
Weston took to the mound in the top of the second inning and had the fast ball working for him. Though the Angels would get a couple of runs across, shortstop Jacob would help stop their threat with a nice defensive play of a hard hit grounder to short. The Sox would answer in their half of the second inning with two of their own. Khaliya, Brandon and Weston would walk the bases full and Danny would line a single to left-center bringing home two runs. The White Sox led 4-2 after two innings of play.
Danny would pitch in the third inning and though he had some trouble with his control at the start of the inning, he would finish strong by fanning two batters and being helped by Khaliya at second base who would make a nice play on a pop-up to 2nd base. However, the Angels would grab the lead 5-4 going into the bottom of the third inning.
The Sox took the lead for good in the bottom of the third inning with 4 big runs! Jonathan would lead off the inning with a base-on-balls. Khaliya would then bring the crowd to their feet with her mammoth drive to the left field fence for a triple! Then Brandon would bring home Khaliya when he connected with two strikes against him to hit a grounder to second... though a play like this does not make the headlines... this was fundamental baseball at its best... two strikes on the batter, the batter makes contact and hits the ball behind the runner thus advancing the runner... this IS baseball at its best... fundamental play... the kind of play that wins ball games! Nolan would follow with a line single to left-center. Weston would walk and Jacob would reach on a single. Danny and Noah would walk and before you knew it, four runs would have crossed the plate. That is where the game would end with the White Sox having an 8-5 lead over the Angels.
Game Balls would be awarded to Noah for his excellent 14 pitch first inning; Jacob for his big hits and defence at shortstop; Danny for his bit bat and defense at first base; and Khaliya for her defence at 2nd base and her incredible triple!

SOX PICK UP FREE-AGENT!
SOX ATTAIN MUCH NEEDED LEFTY FOR THE LINE-UP!
Forney, TX - The Forney White Sox picked up free-agent Brandon and are close to signing him with the big club. Though some issues are being worked out with Brandon's agent, David, he has begun to practice with the club and will be a key left-handed hitter in the line-up! Let's all welcome Brandon (not to be confused with our regular Brandon, also a lefty, who is taking the Fall Season off to play Football) to the team!
Monday, September 17
SOX DOUBLE-UP WITH TRIBE & ANGELS!
SOX PLAY TWO – OUTWALK TRIBE & BOW TO ANGELS
Forney, TX – The Forney White Sox met their rivals the Forney Indians for the first game of the twin bill. Jacob started on the mound for the pale hose and the Indians were held scoreless in the top of the first inning. The Sox put one run on the board in the bottom of the first but would strand the bases full. Weston led things off with a line double to left-center. Dylan would draw a base-on-balls and Danny would rip an RBI single up the middle. Though both Noah and Spencer would walk to fill up the bases, they would not advance and the inning would end with the Sox leading 1-0.
Danny took to the hill in the top of the second and struck out the three Indian batters that he faced. The Sox would score another run in the bottom of the second but would once again leave the inning with 3 runners on base. Guest player CJ would walk followed by a single by Weston and walks to both Dylan and Jacob. Danny would then be robbed of a sure hit when his line drive was nabbed out of the air by Indians pitcher Cooper. The score was now 2-0, still in the Sox favor.
Noah came to the mound in the top of the third inning and had the speed going… however, he could not find the plate… thus plenty of walks ensued that led to the Indians putting across 6 runs and taking the lead 6-2. The plate proved to be hard for the Indians pitcher to find as well in the bottom half of the inning thus more base-on-ball followed and added a clutch hit by Weston (his third in the game), the White Sox would bring home 6 runs of their own and regained the lead 8-6. The game would be called on time giving the victory to the White Sox. The Game Ball would be awarded to Danny for his fantastic pitching and his two rope hits (though robbed of a hit with one!)
The White Sox would face the Angels immediately following their game with the Indians for the night cap of the two games. This one, unfortunately, would not end in the White Sox’s favor. The Sox were held scoreless in the top half of the first inning and the Angels would bring home 6 runs of their own. Weston started on the mound for our White Sox and had good form and speed… but that plate must have been dancing around for the walks were plenty.
The Sox would not quit and responded with 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning. Noah led off the inning with a walk followed by walks to Jonathan, Spencer, Khaliya and Weston. Dylan would drive home a run with a ground out to short. The Angels still led 6-3.
Jacob returned to the mound in the bottom of the second but the Angels would score two more runs. They may have scored more but Jonathan as shortstop would make a key play of a grounder to short, looked back the runner at second and still got the runner at first.
The Sox were coming back in the top of the third when the game would be called on time. Noah would lead off the inning with a walk followed by a line single by Jonathan to right field. Spencer would walk to load up the bases but that would be it and the Angels would top the Sox 8-3.
Jonathan would be granted the Game Ball for his play at shortstop, relief pitching and his base hit to right.
Saturday, September 8
SOX OPEN FALL SEASON!
WHITE SOX FACE YOUNG RED SOX IN FALL SEASON OPENER!
Forney, TX - The Forney White Sox returned to the diamond on Saturday to face a young Red Sox team... The White Sox batted in the top half of the first inning brought 6 runs across. Weston highlighted the inning with a rip single to left field. The young Red Sox pitcher looked good in his first game ever to pitch... good form and speed... however, being his first game, had trouble finding the plate that turned into many base-on-balls, thus many runs... but, that is why we are playing this Fall... to prepare for the Spring 2008 Season!
Noah started on the mound for the White Sox after striking out the first batter, walked a couple of batters himself before fanning a second batter. The Red Sox would draw three more walks to bring a couple of runners home before the inning would end by an unassisted ground out to Danny at First Base.
The White Sox would bring 6 more runs across in the top of the second inning with a bunch of walks, one hit batesman and another hit by Weston. Danny was robbed of a hit by the Red Sox second-baseman via a nice catch of a liner. Weston would take to the mound in the bottom of the second inning and strike out the first 3 batters that he faced on 13 pitches. Though the White Sox would score three more in the top of the third, the game would be called on "Time".
Game Ball would be awarded to Weston for his hitting and pitching.

SOX TO PLAY FALL BALL AGAIN!
Forney,TX - For the second straight Fall, the Forney White Sox have signed up to play America's Greatest Pasttime! Nine original White Sox have returned and welcome Free-Agents Nathaniel and Nolan who will be joining the Pale Hose this Fall! This looks to be another exciting season for our White Sox!
Friday, June 15
SPRING SEASON COMES TO AN END!
THE "WATER LOGGED" SEASON FINALLY COMES TO A CLOSE FOR BOTH OUR SOX TEAMS
Forney, TX - The 9-10 Kid Pitch White Sox met the Jacks for the first round of the 9-10 KP Spring Tournament and quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead. Brandon walked and came around to score on a Danny double. However, the Jacks answered back with 4 runs of their own in the bottom of the 1st inning and now led by 3. Noah and Khaliya would both draw base-on-balls in the top of the second inning and Noah would come around to score on a Mathew double to right-center... but that is all the runs our Sox could ring up and the Jacks would only come back in their half of the inning with 3 more runs. Though both Brandon and Weston would single and Danny would walk in the top of the third inning, the Sox would strand all three runners thus ending any chance for a White Sox comeback. The game would end in the Jack favor thus the Sox would be eliminated from the tournament.
Game Balls would be given to each member of the White Sox team for an excellent season... Spencer would be given a special Game Ball for yet another gutsy spectacular tag of a runner at home plate!
The 11-12 White Sox would play a double-header (their 8th game in just as many days) to finish their season. From the get go, you could see fatigue... pitchers had sore arms... too many games in this short period of time...
The Sox faced the Jacks in the opener and the Jacks jumped ahead with 5 runs in the top of the first inning. The Sox would be held scoreless in their half of the inning. The Jacks put another run on the board and were quickly up 6-0. However, the Sox answered back with two of their own in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Nicholas would lead off with a double followed by singles by Jesse and Joshua. The score was 6-2 after 2. The Jacks were held scoreless in the top of the third inning and the White Sox exploded with 5 runs to take the lead 7-6. Darris led off the inning with a single and scored on a double by Jimmy. Robert, Nicholas and Jesse all followed with singles, Joshua would walk and Mitch and Chris would both get base hits giving the White Sox 5 big runs! Unfortunately, the White Sox would not be able to hold the lead and would eventually fall to the Jacks 12-7.
The Sox would play the Astros in the nightcap and the results would not be much different. The Astros quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning but our Sox would answer with 2 in their half of the inning. Darris led off with a single, Robert would walk and Nicholas would bring home two with a clutch single to center field! The Sox were down 1 after 1.
The Astros would put 5 more on the board in the top of the second putting them up by 6 but our Sox would fight back and bring home 3 runs of their own. Chris and Joshua would both walk and Alex would bring home Chris with a line a single to right-center. Jimmy then would drive both Josh and Alex home with a mammoth hit to left field where everyone thought left the yard... even the umpire who signaled home run... Jimmy would go into a home run trot rounding first base... however, the ball would come down and hit the fence and Jimmy would be thrown out trying to stretch a double into a triple. The Astros would break the game wide open in the top of the third ending the season for our White Sox!
The Sox would celebrate their season after the game with a Trophy Presentation and Pizza at the Concession Stand!
Congratulations to both White Sox teams on a great season!

SOX TAKE DOWN HORNS 12-6!
DEFENSE & HITTING SHARP! SOX COME OUT TO PLAY!
Forney, TX - A much different 11-12 KP Forney White Sox team showed up at Mulberry Park Tuesday evening... unlike the day before, this Sox team had energy, life and was a team that looked like they really wanted to play baseball that night... and that they did to the cheers of the home town crowd! Not only did the White Sox come to play but they would beat the first place Forney Horns 12-6!
Jimmy started on the mound for the Sox and though his speed and form looked good, he would walk the first three batters that he faced which would result in two runs for the Horns. However, he would regain his composure by striking out the final three batters in a row to stop the Horns rally and hold them to two runs. The Sox answered back in the bottom of the first inning with two runs of their own tying the game at 2. Darris would lead the game off with a single and quickly found himself on third after swiping two bases. Aex would follow with a base-on-balls and Robert would reach on a dropped-on-third strike. Nicholas would single bringing in the tying run but the Sox would strand the bases loaded.
Jimmy would leave the mound with a sore shoulder in the top of the second inning only to be relieved by Jesse who proved to be in top form. The Sox defense would be shine this inning highlighted by a nice catch by Darris at second who nabbed a liner out of the air and would double up the runner at second base to end the inning holding the Horns scoreless that inning. The Sox came back in the bottom of the second with two more runs. Chris led the inning off with a walk and James would lay down the most perfect sacrifice bunt to move Chris into scoring position. Joshua would bring in Chris with a single and Alex would drive a ball to the right-center field fence for a triple! The White Sox led by 2 after 2.
Jesse continued to pitch great in the top of the third inning fanning two batters and shutting down the Horns once again. However, it would be Darris once again that would make the highlight film with a nice catch going back on a looping pop-up to right field. The Sox then exploded for 6 runs in the bottom of the third putting the game virtually out of reach! Mitch would reach first bast on a dropped on third and Jesse would line one to the fence for a triple! Jesse then could not be held back and he would legitimately steal home for the second run of the inning! Chris and James would walk followed by singles by both Darris and Alex. Jimmy would drive in two more with a double to right bringing home the 5th and 6th run of the inning.
Jesse would have to leave the mound in the top of the 4th inning with a sore shoulder but Nicholas "Iron Man" would once again come in to close out the game. Unfortunately, the Horns would take advantage of a couple of Sox errors on routine plays but Nicholas never lost his composure and continued to pitch well and get the job done!
The Sox came out and put the game away in the bottom of the 4th inning. Robert would reach on a base-on-balls and Nicholas would drive him home by smacking one to the fence for a triple and scoring when the ball would be overthrown into the crowd. The game would be called with the White Sox defeating the Horns 12-6!
Game Balls would be given to Darris for his defense at second base; James for executing a perfect sacrifice bunt; Nicholas for his relief pitching; Jesse for his big triple and energetic play; and Alex for his triple as well!

ASTROS BOMBARD SOX!
HEAT, FATIGUE & ENERGETIC STROS TOO MUCH FOR SOX!
Forney, TX The 11-12 Kid Pitch White Sox having played 3 games in the last 4 days would face the Astros for a Double-Header this Monday evening. Our White Sox show signs of fatigue and were very apathetic in their play. Though there were many good individual plays and some nice hitting and pitching periodically throughout the evening, the team play was not there. There were too many miscues on routine plays that took the Sox out of the game early and there was no comeback in them this night.
The Astros opened up with 4 runs in the top of the first inning. Our Sox cut that lead in half in the bottom of the second inning. Darris led off the inning with a rip double to right-center! Alex would drive him home with a singe up the middle. After a walk to Robert, Jimmy would drive a triple to right field bringing in another run. The Astros led 4-2 after one inning.
The Astros would bring home six more runs in the top of the 2nd inning putting the Sox in a big hole. The Sox would chip away two more runs from the Astro lead with hits by Chris, Darris and Alex. The Sox now trailed 10-4 after two innings of play.
The pesky Astros just could not be stopped and they would put the game out of reach in the top of the third with 2 more runs. Though the Sox would score another run in the bottom of the third from a Robert single and an RBI by Jimmy, the game would be called on time with the Astros defeating our White Sox 12-5.
Game Balls would be awarded to Darris for his hitting and Robert who made a couple of fantastic catches at third base during the first part of this game.
The nightcap was a continuation of the May 5th suspended game when an Astro player was struck in the eye with a fly ball. Fortunately, the player healed and was back in the line-up for this game. Goodwill and Sportsmanship was abundant when Astros coaches refused to take an automatic-out for the now absent Skylar
the game continued. The Sox would stopped in the top of the second inning and the Astros came back with 1 run in the bottom half of the inning giving them a 5-3 lead.
Though Robert would drive a triple to the fence in the top of the third inning, he would be stranded at third. The Astros exploded for 5 more runs in the bottom half of the third putting the game out of reach. Though Chris would walk and Darris would drive a rip double to the fence in the top of the fourth inning, the game would be called with the Astros winning 10-3.
Game Balls would be given to Darris for his bat and Robert for his triple!

SOX OVERCOME THE HEAT TO BEAT LYNX 4-3!
JIMMY GOES YARD/NICHOLAS PUTS UP 3 SCORELESS INNINGS
Forney, TX - On a HOT Saturday afternoon, the KP 11-12 White Sox met the Lynx for the third time this season and once again the game was a nail-biter! However, both teams worst opponent for the game would be the heat and humidity... but with plenty of water, the game would go on.
The Sox jumped ahead with a run in the top of the first inning. Alex and Jesse would both draw walks and score on a wild throw on a stolen base attempt. Robert and Jimmy would follow with walks but would be stranded on base. The Lynx answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2 run lead. Jimmy started on the mound for the White Sox and though he would strike out the sides, his control was off and he would walk six batters... the Lynx threatened even more but would strand the bases loaded... the Sox would be fortunate to get out of the inning giving up 3 runs.
The White Sox would chip away at the Lynx lead with another run in the top of the second inning. Chris would get hit by pitch and steal second base and would come in to score on a wild pitch and wild throw to third base. Darris would execute the perfect bunt hit and quickly steal two bases. Alex would walk but both runners would be stranded on base.
Nicholas came in relief for the White Sox in the bottom of the second inning and would shut down the Lynx with awesome control and speed. Striking out one and being helped out by a nice play by Darris at second-base, the Lynx would be held scoreless in the bottom of the second inning.
Robert led off the top of the third with a single. Jimmy batted next and smacked a towering home run over the Left Field fence to put the White Sox up by 1 run! The place went wild as the whole White Sox team celebrated at home plate! The Sox were now up 4-3 going into the bottom of the 3rd inning.
Nicholas was now in top form and mowed down 3 straight Lynx batters striking out the sides! Exactly the inning the Sox needed!
Alex would connect and tag one only to be denied by a nice catch by the Lynx right fielder. The Sox would be held scoreless in the top of the 4th inning. Nicholas still had the stuff in the bottom of the 4th inning and though the Lynx would once again threaten with a double, a walk and an error, Nicholas would strike out the sides where the game would end in the White Sox favor 4-3.
Game Balls would be given to Nicholas for his outstanding pitching performance; Darris for his defense and bunt hit; and a special game ball would be awarded to Jimmy for his bit Home Run that left the yard (First one in Forney White Sox History!)

SOX FINISH UP REGULAR SEASON BATTLING THE HEAT!
SOX TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL (12 OF THEM!) AND SENT INTO ORBIT BY ASTROS!
Forney, TX - At high noon on a June Saturday afternoon in Forney, Texas, the White Sox played the first of two games in temperatures that were near 150 degrees (so that's what I heard over and over... to me, it felt more like a balmy 110!!!!!!)
The Sox faced the not-so-innocent Angels in the first game and quickly jumped to a 4-0 lead! Chelsea and Weston would both walk and Dylan would knock them in with a single. Danny and Brandon would also draw walks and Noah would be hit by pitch as well as would Spencer... unfortunately, the Sox would leave the bases loaded but still were ahead 4-0. The Angels would fight back and answer with two of their own. Though the Sox would get the first two batters out by a nice catch by catch by Weston and a gutsy play by catcher Spencer who would tag a runner out at the plate, the big bats of the Angels would bring home two runs... Sox led 4-2 after one inning.
Sox continued scoring in the top of the second with two more runs. However, the Angels bats only got hotter and knocked in 6 more in both the bottom of the second and third innings to put the game out of reach. Angels player Joey ripped a massive hit to the fence for an inside the park home run that highlighted their hitting barrage!
The Sox would show some life in the top of the 4th inning when Chelsea would smack a single to left field and come around to score... unfortunately, that would be all that was left in them and the game would end with the Angles winning 14-7.
Game Balls would be given to Chelsea for her hitting; Spencer for his incredible put-out at home plate and John for his batting!
In the nightcap, the Sox faced the Astros and you could see from the start that the heat had already worn out our White Sox. The Astros quickly jumped to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first and the Sox would only answer with one in the bottom of the first with hits by both Danny and Brandon. The Astros continued their scoring spree and put three more runs on the board in the top of the second inning. The White Sox would score another run in the bottom of the second inning. Jonathan would lead off the inning with a rip line single to left field and John would bring him home. The score would be 9-2 after two innings of play.
The Astros continued their abuse on our Sox with three more runs in the top of the third and it was quite evident that the White Sox were thinking of air-conditioned buildings, swimming pools, dairy queen... anywhere else other than Mulberry Park.
The Sox would put another run across in the bottom of the third inning but once again could not string together enough offense to put forth a real rally!
Brandon would take to the mound in the top of the 4th inning and looked good striking out the final batter and holding the Astros scoreless. The game would be called on time with the Astros winning 11-3.
Game Balls would be given to Jonathan for his nice hitting and Weston for his diving catch at First Base!

SOX COME BACK BUT CAN'T HOLD ON!
TEAMS CHANGE LEAD MULTIPLE TIMES!
Forney, TX - The KP 11-12 White Sox met the Hurricanes for the third time this season and once again ended up with the short end of the "run" stick! The Hurricanes quickly jumped ahead with 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Sox would get on the board in the top of the second inning after Jimmy would be hit by pitch, steal a couple of bases and come home on a clutch grounder by Chris. After two innings... the score was 5-1 in favor of the Hurricanes.
Our White Sox exploded with 5 runs in the top of the third that would put them ahead by one run. Mitch would lead off the inning with a single followed by a rip single by Darris. Jesse would drive home a run with a single to right center. After a walk to Nicholas, Robert would drive in a couple more runs with a triple to the fence. Jimmy would single him in and Chris would once again pick up another RBI by getting his bat on the ball. The Hurricanes would answer back with 2 in their half of the inning and the score would be 7-6 in favor of the Hurricanes.
The White Sox would come back again with 4 runs in their half of the 4th inning giving them a 10-7 lead. Mitch led things off a rip single up the middle. Darris continued his hot bat with a single to right-center. Nicholas, Robert and Joshua would follow with singles putting the Sox up by 3 runs. Robert would take to the mound for the first time in his career and looked good. However, the Hurricanes would come back with 4 in their half of the inning to give them a 11-10 victory.
Game Balls would be given to Robert for his hot bat and excellent defense at first base; and Darris, Nicholas, Joshua, Mitch and Chris for their clutch hitting.

SOX ROCK HOUNDS 6-5!
TOTAL TEAM EFFORT IN SOX VICTORY OVER LEAGUE'S ELITE!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox had not played a game since 05/19 due to the recent bad weather... but the layoff proved to be beneficial to our pale hose... they relied upon each other to upset 11-0 Rockhounds! Everyone contributed in this big win for our White Sox... not one single play was was more important than another... but it took many key plays by everyone to help our Sox edge the Rockhounds 6-5. Weston started on the mound for our White Sox and came out with nice speed and control. However, the cagey Rockhounds would managed to jump ahead to a 4-0 lead. Our White Sox would only answer with one run in the bottom of the first inning. The Rockhounds starting pitcher came out throwing some real heat but his control was a little off. Chelsea would lead-off by drawing a base-on-balls. After consecutive walks to Weston and Dylan, Noah would also draw a walk to bring in Chelsea for a run for our White Sox.
The Rockhounds continued their relentless pressure and would draw 4 straight walks to lead off the top of the 2nd inning. Noah came in relief and would get the next three batters shutting down the Rockhounds rally and forcing them to strand 3 on the base paths!
The White Sox exploded for 5 big runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to put them into the lead 6-5. Spencer led off the inning with a walk followed by a line single by John. Chelsea would rip a single to right-center bringing home a run. After a walk to Weston, Danny would produce 2 more runs with a double to left field. Both Jonathan and Noah would walk and Khaliya would come through with a clutch 2-strike two out double to left field scoring two more runs! The White Sox now led 6-5 going into the final inning of play.
Noah was on fire throwing strikes and with excellent control. The Rockhounds threatened in the top of the third but key defensive plays by the White Sox would shut them down. Noah would field a tap back to the mound only to over throw Danny on first. However, Danny would get to the ball and throw a strike to Dylan all the way across the field at third where Dylan would make a spectacular catch and tag of the advancing runner. Noah would also field another grounder and throw to Danny at first who would make a spectacular catch and tag of the runner at first base... two plays that saved the game for our White Sox. The game would end in the bottom of the third on time giving the White Sox a 6-5 victory over the Rockhounds.
Game Balls would be awarded to Chelsea and John for their key hits; Khaliya for her clutch double; Danny for both his big double and his excellent defense at first base; Dylan for his fantastic defensive play at third base; Weston for his awesome pitching; Spencer for this leadership at catcher... controlling the game; Noah for his incredible job in relief; Jonathan for his defensive plays at shortstop... playing the entire game in that key position... 9 players who all contributed in this spectacular victory for our Forney White Sox!

EIGHT MEN OUT!
SOX HAVE ONLY EIGHT IN UNIFORM - COME UP SHORT AGAINST BRAVES!
Forney, TX - The White Sox had not played a game for the past couple of weeks due mostly due to the terrible weather that had covered the Dallas land area for the past couple of weeks... so, it was great to be back at the 'ol ball park. The Sox came out a tad bit rusty and looked sluggish against the aggressive Braves but would jump out to a quick 2-0 lead. Darris would lead off with a single and after a couple of stolen bases, would score on a single by Robert. Robert would steal a couple of bases and come home on a Balk. Though Jimmy would walk and end up on third base after stealing, the Sox would strand him on third base.
Jimmy started on the mound for the White Sox and looked looked. Struck out two batters and allowed only one run. The Sox would add to their lead when Nicholas would drive home James with a single up the middle. Unfortunately, the Braves would jump ahead in the bottom of the 2nd inning with 4 runs giving them a 6-3 lead after two innings of play. The Sox would go up and down in order in the top of the third and the Braves would put 3 more runs across in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Jesse pitched strong but the lack of a third outfielder would prove costly for our White Sox.
Darris reached base for the third time that day with a lead off walk. After a couple of stolen bases, Robert would drive home with his second hit of the game. However, the Braves would answer back with a run of their own and that's where the game would end... 9-4 in the Braves favor.

SOX DON'T SHOW UP AGAINST JACKS!
WALKFEST AND LACK OF INTEREST... WHAT WAS THAT?
Forney, TX - I would like to forget about this game and put it behind us... but it's hard to forget about it because there's nothing to remember... I can't remember what to forget... neither team appeared to even want to be there...
It was hot at 4:00pm on this Saturday, and the Sox would face the Jacks. The Sox opened up with 4 runs in the top of the first... mostly on walks!
The Jacks answered back with 6 runs of their own on six walks... The Sox would put another on the board with 4 walks and a base hit, but the Jacks would answer back with more runs on walks. Walks were everywhere... bored the fielders who just stood around, the batters... The Sox appeared to have other things on their minds and they were anywhere but on the ball field. This was not even close to the same White Sox they gave the Outlaws a game last Thursday night. The game ended in favor of the Jacks. There's really nothing else to report on... The White Sox will return to the ball field playing White Sox Ball next Tuesday evening!
Saturday, May 19
SOX LOSE HEARTBREAKER TO HORNS!
SOX START STRONG BUT JUST CAN'T FINISH OFF HORNS!
Forney, TX - The KP 11-12 White Sox came out with attitude against the First Place Horns and jumped ahead to a quick 3-0 lead. Mitch led off with a single followed by a walk to Alex. Jesse lined a double to right-center scoring both runner. Robert, who's bat has been on fire recently, ripped a single up the middle scoring Jesse and putting the Sox on top 3-0. Jesse started on the mound for our Sox and had heat and control... looked good. The Horns would answer with 3 runs of their own by stringing a walk and two doubles that would follow both foul lines thus tying the game up at three.
Darris led off the top of the second inning with a base-on-balls followed by a single by Chris. Mitch would reach base on an infield error. Jesse would single home a run and Nicholas would force in the third run of the inning. The Sox led 6-3 after one and a half innings. The Horns would bring home one run in the bottom of the 2nd inning when their runner on third moved to distract the Sox pitcher thus causing him to balk in the run. The Sox led 6-4 after two innings of play.
The Sox began to rally again in the top of the third inning. Robert led things off with yet another hard hit single up the middle. Jimmy would single and Darris would walk with the bases loaded to force in a run. However, the next three batters for the Sox would all be retired thus forcing the Sox to strand 3 base runners... one could sense that this would be a turning point in the game... and it would prove to be so.
Jimmy, who usually starts, came in relief for Jesse and had some decent heat on his fastball... however, his control was off. The Horns coaches saw this and began to have their hitters take pitches to see if Jimmy's control improved. Though Jimmy finished the inning strong, the Horns would manage to sneak back into the game with a couple of runs... the score now stood 7-6 after three innings of play with the Sox in front.
The Sox needed to rally and put across a couple of insurance runs in the top of the 4th inning... but the bats were now cold and the Sox were held scoreless and now would have to go into the final inning of play with a 1-Run lead.
Jimmy returned to the mound in the bottom of the 4th inning and though he had two strikes on the lead-off hitter, he would plunk him with a fast ball putting him on first base. The Horns coaches now saw Jimmy's control in question and would now have their batters automatically take the first 3 pitches they saw. This strategy would work and the Sox pitcher's control went downhill. Though the Sox head coach now knows that he should have put in a control pitcher on the mound, not wanting to shatter his pitcher's confidence, he kept with him. Unfortunately, this strategy did not work and the Horns taking of the first 3 pitches would work in their favor... two runs would score and give the Horns an 8-7 win.
Game Balls would be given to Jesse for his fine pitching and to Robert for another fine hitting performance.

SOX GET BACK ON TRACK!
BATS COME ALIVE AGAINST FAST BALLER! CLUTCH HITTING!!
Forney, TX - The KP 11-12 White Sox met the Forney Lynx for the second time this season and once again came away with a victory. The Lynx would throw to the mound a pitcher with a good fast ball that had our Sox swinging late at the beginning of the game! The Sox jumped ahead in the top of the first when Alex led things off with a base-on-balls and a couple of stolen bases. With two men out, Robert ripped a double to the right-center fence bring home the first run of the game! The Lynx fought back and tied up the game in the bottom of the first on three walks and a balk. However, with the bases loaded, the defensive play of the game that saved the inning for our White Sox is when center fielder Darris nabbed a fly ball to kill the Lynx rally.
The Sox exploded for 5 runs in the top of the second inning. Chris led off the inning with a walk followed by a clutch 2-strike double by Mitch. Alex would single and Jesse would walk. Nicholas would knock a clutch 2-out single bringing home a couple of runs! Robert continued with his hot bat and smacked his second double of the evening. Jimmy would be hit by pitch and the inning would eventually end with the Sox taking a 6-1 lead.
The Lynx would not quit and fought back for 2 runs in their half of the inning on 5 walks. However, Jimmy regained his control and would strike out the sides but the game was now 6-3 after two innings of play.
The Sox bats were on fire and they came out with 4 more runs in the top of the third! Darris and Chris would both draw walks and Mitch would have his best at-bat of the season when he worked the Lynx pitcher by fouling off 6 pitches and running the count full until getting a pitch that he liked and ripping a double bringing home two runs! Nicholas would be hit by pitch followed by Robert who would knock his third double of the game bringing home two more runs! Jimmy would be hit-by-pitch for the second time of the game and with Joshua up to the plate... the game would end on time. The Sox would take home a 10-3 victory.
Game Balls would be given to Darris for his outstanding catch; Robert for 3 big doubles; Jimmy for two good innings of pitch - striking out 5 and not allowing a hit; and Mitch for his two clutch doubles.

SOX TRY TO CORRAL RUNNING OUTLAWS!
BIG HITS & GREAT DEFENSE - SOX STAY WITH OUTLAWS!
Forney, TX - Our KP 9-10 White Sox faced off with the Forney Outlaws on an incredibly beautiful Thursday evening at Mulberry Park. Weston started for the White Sox and had nice control and speed. However, the big bats of the Outlaws came out swinging and strung together some big hits with very aggressive base-running to bring home five runs in the top of the first inning. The Outlaws have this unique style of base running being the team that steals home more than any other team. Our White Sox devised a plan to put the kabash on this play and for the most part, it worked! Spencer at catcher would walk the runner back to third and Danny at First Base would cover home... unfortunately, the White Sox would have a couple of throwing miscues and the Outlaws would jump all over them to score! The Outlaws jumped to a quick 5-0 lead! Weston helped his own cause by getting the final putout of the inning by nabbing a liner hit right back to him on the mound.
However, our White Sox came right back in their half of the inning and tied the game up at 5! Brandon and Weston would both walk and Dylan would be hit by pitch. Danny would bring home two runs with a rope single to center. Noah would walk and Chelsea would bring home another run with a grounder to first base. Jacob would single to bring home two more... the game was all tied at five!
Jacob came in on the mound and pitched with great confidence and nice form. Though the Outlaws would put three more runs on the board, the Sox had some nice defensive plays by both Mathew at second base and Weston at shortstop. The inning ended when Jacob made a heads-up cutoff of a relay and tagged out a runner coming around third base! The Outlaws now led 8-5.
Though both Khaliya and Spencer would draw walks in the bottom of the second inning, the inning would come to a close without the Sox scoring. The Sox held the Outlaws to only one run in the top of the third inning with help from Danny at First Base who was making great catch after great play all game! Unfortunately, the Sox would strand two runners in the bottom of the third inning wasting hits by both Dylan and Weston.
Noah relieved Jacob on the mound in the top of the 4th inning and put in another fine performance. Unfortunately, the score was now 10-5 going into the final inning of play.
Chelsea led off the inning by getting hit by pitch. Jacob then roped the hit of the game with a triple to left-center that went all the way to the fence. Mathew then hit a liner to third base that was caught by the Outlaw third baseman who double off Jacob... the game would end with the Outlaws winning 10-6.
Game Balls would be awarded to Jacob for his fine pitcher; heads up play on that cutoff and his big hitting!; Danny received two... one for his fine defensive plays at first base and the other for lisenting to the coach by covering home play; Spencer for his relentless play behind the plate; Dylan for his fine hitting; Mathew for his fine hitting and his fielding at second base.

SOX LET GAME RUN AWAY!
BASERUNNING MISTAKES COST SOX GAME!
Forney, TX The KP 11-12 White Sox started things off against the Jack by quickly jumping to a 1-0 lead. Darris would draw a walk and steal a couple of bases. Alex hit a fly ball to center where the center fielder misplayed bring Darris home. Although Nicholas would rip a double to left-center, the Sox would try to score on a wild pitch only to be called out at the plate thus
only scoring 1 run for the inning. Nicholas started on the mound for the Sox and good control and his fastball was moving! However, the Jacks would tie up the game on a walk and an error by the Sox
the game was one-to-one after one.
The White Sox bats brought three more runs home in the top of the second. Jimmy led off the inning with a walk. Joshua followed with a line single to right-center. Robert and Chris would walk and Mitch would deliver with a single bringing home a couple of runs. Darris would walk again and Alex would bring home one more run with a single up the middle. However, a couple of base-running gaffs caused the Sox to cut short their rally and the inning would end with the White Sox now leading by 3 going into the bottom of the second inning.
Nicholas continued pitching great keeping the Jacks from hitting anything hard. However, the cagey Jacks would manage another run and cut the Sox lead to two after two! James led the top of the third off with a walk and with his lightning speed, stole a couple of bases and quickly found himself on third base. Joshua would get another RBI by placing the bat on the ball and hitting a grounder to short! The Sox once again led by 3 runs.
The Jacks would not give up and came back with another run in the bottom of the third. However, the inning was highlighted by the play-of-the-season where White Sox shortstop, Alex, would make a diving stop of a hard hit grounder and also gun down the runner at first saving at least one (possibly 2) runs!
Chris led off the top of the 4th inning with a single up the middle. Unfortunately, he would be called out for throwing his bat on release
the Sox would be held scoreless for the first time that day. The Jacks fought back and put 3 runs home in the bottom of the 4th inning to take the game away from our White Sox 6-5!
Game Balls would be given to Nicholas for an outstanding job pitching; Alex, for both his explosive bat but his defensive play at shortstop; Robert, for an outstanding job at First Base
first time he ever played that position!; and Joshua for his clutch hits and RBIs.

KNIGHTS OUT FOR SOX!
FORNEY'S TOP TEAM TOO MUCH FOR SOX!
Forney, TX - On beautiful Saturday evening in Forney, TX, the White Sox faced off against the undefeated Forney Knights. Being that this was the only game being played at the 8:00pm... Mulberry Park was quiet... too quiet... there were moments in the game where it was completely silent... not really news worthy, but it was strange enough to mention...
Brandon started the top of the first with drawing a base-on-balls. Though Danny would reach with a walk the Sox would strand both runners and not score. Noah started for the White Sox and was confident and did not back down to the big guns of the dreaded Knights. Though the Knights would score 3 runs due to some timely hitting and taking advantage of Sox overthrows, Noah would still finish the inning fanning a couple of batters. The Knights led 3-0 after the first inning.
The Sox wouldn't do anything in the top of the 2nd inning. However, the Knights scored 6 unanswered runs in their half of the inning. A miscue to a throw to first would really cost the Sox and give more opportunity to the Knights... something you cannot give to a team like this for they will make the most of every gift given to them.
Our White Sox would not give up and came up with some offense of their own in the top of the third to break the shut-out. Spencer, Khaliya and Brandon would load the bases and Dylan would hit a clutch double that drove in 2 runs! Unfortunately, the Sox would strand runners on 2nd and third.
Danny, who relieved Noah on the mound, put in another fine performance and held the Knights to only one run in the bottom of the third striking out a couple of batters! The Knights led our White Sox 10-2 after three innings of play.
The Sox came out for one last time in the top of the 4th inning but would have to face the Knights' ace pitcher. However, Jacob was up for the challenge and drew a walk to start the inning and stealing both 2nd and 3rd base. However, the Sox could not bring him home and the game would end with the Knights winning 10-2.
Game Balls would be given to Dylan for his clutch hitting and Mathew for an incredible defensive play at second base that really saved the inning for the Sox!

SOX BLOW GAME TO HURRICANES!
DEFENSIVE MISCUES COST SOX GAME!
Forney, TX - It's Texas... it's mid-May... it's Hot! The Sox faced off with the Forney Hurricanes at noon on this past Saturday. With the mercury rising, both teams came out with offense but the defenses looked like they did not want to be under that hot sun! The Hurricanes opened up with 6 runs in the top of the first! Though our White Sox were down... they were not out and they came back in the bottom of the first with 6 runs of their own! Mitch would single and a flu-ridden Jesse would drive him in with a line single to left-center. Robert, Darris, James and Chris would all draw base-on-balls and then Joshua would drill a clutch double to right field bringing in two runs! Skylar and Mitch would follow with walks bringing home the Sox sixth run of the inning!
Jimmy settled down on the mound and though he walked a few batters, the Hurricanes would only score 1 in the top of the second inning. The Sox came back and took the lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning with 4 more runs! Alex started the inning off with a massive double to left field. After stealing third, Alex would score when Jesse would manage to put the bat on the ball and drive him in... a heroic feat since he was very sick. Robert followed with a rip double followed by walks to Darris, Jimmy, James and Chris would bring home two runs with a single. The Sox led 10-7 after two innings of play.
With Jesse too ill to take the field, Nicholas not in uniform, and Alex catching due to and injury to Mitch, the Sox were out of experienced pitchers. However, Mitch stepped up as he did the game before and gave it all that he had... and it was pretty good stuff. Unfortunately, the Sox defense collapsed with a couple of major miscues that allowed the Hurricanes to regain the lead 13-10.
Alex ripped another hit to try to start things off for the Sox but that is all the offense that the Sox could manage in their half of the third and the game ended with the Hurricanes topping the Sox 13-10.
Game Balls were given to Alex... not only for his hot hitting but for his incredible performance as catcher... making a couple of nice plays at the plate and gunning a runner out at first; Mitch for a good job in relief; and to Jesse for giving it all that he had while having a major bout with the flu! One other note... a special thanks to the Hurricanes Coach Mike Jakubec who could have taken the last out of the game due to Jesse leaving the game but instead put the kids first and let the game continue with the next batter... class act!

SOX ROYAL ON DIAMOND!
EXPLOSIVE BATS & EXCELLENT PITCHING BRING SOX VICTORY!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 Forney White Sox met the young Forney Royals on a beautiful Thursday evening... perfect baseball weather. Weston started for the Pale Hose on the mound and had perfect control, poise and speed. The Royals were held scoreless in the top of the first. The White Sox, who's bats fell asleep last game, woke up in a big way and they came out swinging! Brandon led off the inning with a base-on-balls followed by Weston sending one to the fence for a triple! Dylan lined a single driving in Weston and then Danny doubled to right-center bringing in another run! Noah ripped a single to right-center driving in Danny! Jacob would follow with a walk with Mathew and Spencer both hitting for singles. When Jonathan would be hit-by-pitch, the 6th run of the inning would come in thus stopping the inning with the White Sox up 6-0!
Weston continued his superb pitching getting the Royals up and down in order in the top of the second inning. The White Sox would add 3 more runs to their lead with walks to Brandon, Weston getting hit-by-pitch, Danny poking another single, Jacob singling and Spencer drawing a base-on-balls. The Sox led 9-0 after 2.
Danny took the mound in the top of the third inning and pitched nicely fanning a couple of batter... had nice speed and good control. However, the Royals would put a run on the board. The White Sox put the game out of reach in the bottom of the third with 4 more runs! Brandon drew his third walk of the game followed by a single by Dylan and Danny. Jacob would double in a couple of runs. Later in the inning, Spencer would execute the perfect squeeze play bring home another run from third with an excellent bunt. The Sox led 13-1 after 3.
Brandon took over on the mound and put in a fine performance. Though he walked a couple of batter and hit another, his confidence hung in there and he struck out the final batter of the game! The game would end there with the good guys marking up a 13-3 victory!
Game balls would be given to Weston (2 for him)... one for fine pitching and one for his awesome hitting! Danny for his nice performance on the mound. Brandon for a great way to finish the game pitching... and Dylan for his continued clutch hitting!

BRAVES RUN WILD ON SOX!
RUN TIL' YOU DROP STYLE OF PLAY TOO MUCH FOR OUR WHITE SOX!
Forney, TX - The KP 11-12 White Sox met the Braves for the second time this season and once again had a similar fate. Jimmy returned from his illness to start on the mound for the Sox... and did have have the heat working in the first inning. He struck out the first two batters by blowing fast balls by them. However, the next two batters would manage base-on-balls and after 6 stolen bases, 1 wild pitch and 1 past ball... two runs would come across for the Braves. Jimmy would then strike out the third batter of the inning but the Braves would have a 2-0 lead. The Sox answered with 4 runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Mitch would lead off the inning with a walk. Jesse would also walk and Nicholas would single in a run. Jimmy would line to center and be robbed of a hit. However, Robert would bring home a run with an infield hit and then come around to score himself on some aggressive base running making the most out of a couple of throwing errors! After one inning of play, the White Sox were in the lead 4-2.
Jimmy, coming back from the flu, began to tire quickly in the bottom of the second inning and didn't seem to have the same stuff. He would only strike out one batter, hit one and walk 6 batters. The Braves ran and ran totaling 8 more stolen bases and jumping all over a couple of wild pitches... Alex would come in and take over for Jimmy but the damage was done and the Braves regained the lead 8-4.
Though Chris would lead off the bottom of the second inning with a lead off infield single, the Sox would not be able to manufacture any runs and trailed by 4 runs after 2 innings of play.
Alex continued to pitch well and even displayed some heat of his own! However, the Braves would manage to draw a handful of walks and did poke a couple of hits... add that with a handful of stolen bases and the result would be 4 more runs for the Braves.
Darris would lead off the bottom of the third with a base-on-balls and would be driven home later in the inning by Christopher... unfortunately, that is all the runs that the Sox could produce...
Mitch went to the mound for the very first time in his long baseball career and did a great job... he did not allow a run and did strike out two Brave batters.... however, the time would run out and the White Sox would fall to the Braves 12-5.
Game Balls would be awarded to Alex for a fine performance at pitching and also Mitch for an equally fine job on the mound.

SOX THROW AWAY GAME TO ATHLETICS!
DEFENSIVE MISCUES SPOIL SOX STRONG PITCHING!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox met the Forney Athletics on a damp Saturday game. Noah started on the mound and came out with the heat against the Athletics fanning two batters and keeping them from putting any runs on the board! Ex-White Sox player Garrett started for the Athletics and did a fine job as well. Brandon started the bottom of the first off with a lead-off rip single to right-center. Though the Sox would put another runner on base, they would end up stranding runners in scoring position. The score was all tied up at 0 after 1 inning of play.
Noah fanned the first batter he faced in the top of the second inning and was really bringing on the heat! However, the Athletics would load the bases up with two base-on-balls and an infield hit. The Sox should have been out of the inning when a routine tap back to the mound was overthrown to first scoring all three Athletic runners. Head Coach's fault... pitcher was going to throw home but over zealous coach yelled out to throw to first instead... fundamentally the right thing to do... but throwing home would have probably still got the runner out... Noah would fan the next batter but the damage was done and the Athletics led 4-0.
The Sox began to threaten in the bottom of the second inning. Noah would lead things off with a base-on-balls followed by a single by Jacob. However, Noah who was leading off second base, would get back to second base in time before the Athletics pitcher released the ball, would still be called out for leaving the base early... this call would really hurt the Sox rally. Though Mathew would walk, the Athletics would escape the inning without giving up a run to the Sox.
Weston came in to pitch and put in another fine performance. However, the Athletics would rally and bring runs across the plate when the White Sox defense would commit a couple of major misplays and overthrows. Weston did the job by keeping the Athletics to hitting light routine grounders... however, the White Sox defense could not come up with the plays. One bright moment occurred when the Sox would get the third out of the inning on an excellent throw from Jacob to Dylan for a put out at third base.
Khaliya started the Sox rally in the bottom of the third inning with a base-on-balls. Brandon, Dylan, Danny and Noah would all get on base bringing home two runs for our White Sox. However, the White Sox would once again strand the bases loaded. The Athletics led 10-2 after three innings of play.
Weston continued pitching well in the top of the fourth inning but the game would be called on time with the good guys coming up short against the Athletics.
Game balls would be given to both the White Sox pitchers Noah and Weston for pitching excellent... they both did not give up one hard hit and struck out many batters. Brandon would also be given a game ball for his continued strong hitting.

SOX ASTROS GAME SUSPENDED!
SEVERE INJURY TO LEFT-FIELDER PUTS GAME ON HOLD!
Forney, TX - With all the rain that we had this week and the pending storms approaching, this game appeared to already have a dark cloud hanging over it... To add to the agony, the Sox star pitcher Jimmy would not be able to suit up due to a severe flu. However, the game would go on...
The White Sox opened up the game with a run in the top of the first inning. Mitch would lead things off with a base-on-balls. Derris would get nailed in the back with a fastball and both runners would steal to put runners on second and third. Alex just missed driving a ball but instead popped up to the infield. Nicholas would bring home a run with a fielder's choice and Robert laid down a beautiful bunt only to be gunned down at first by a perfect Astros play!
Nicholas started on the mound and had good form and control. The Astros would put their bats on the ball and managed to combine a couple of nice hits with a couple of Sox throwing errors to put 4 runs across. The inning would have been much worse if it hadn't been for an incredible catch by third-baseman Robert would would snag a looping popup over his shoulder as the ball tried to land in left field. The Astros led the Sox 4-1 after 1 inning of play.
Alex started the top of the second with an infield hit. Chris would would draw a base-on-balls and both steal a couple of bases. Skylar would bring home a run with a fielder's choice. Josh would bring home another run with a fielder's choice as well. Then Mitch would loft a towering fly ball to short left-field where the Astros' shortstop and left-fielder collided resulting in the ball hitting the left-fielder directly in the eye. The Astros' left-fielder was helped off the field and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the Astros would only have 7 players remaining on the field but the White Sox chose to suspend the game and finish it later rather than to take a forfeit win... it REC Baseball!
The White Sox wish the Astros' left-fielder the best and a speedy recovery!
UPDATE 05/07: We heard from the Astros Coach that the left-fielder is doing fine... has a bit of a swelled eye, but... should have a full recovery!!!!

SOX COME OUT STRONG AGAINST THE TRIBE!
PITCHING-DEFENSE-HITTING ALL AT TOP FORM!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox [Junior Circuit] met their friends the Forney Indians which would be their third meeting in just as many years. Great atmosphere for Rec-Baseball! The White Sox opened things up in the top of the first with 5 runs! Brandon & Weston would both draw walks and Dylan would be hit by pitch. Danny drove home a run with a hard single. Jacob would bring home two more with a single of his own! Chelsea followed with a rip single to right field that brought in 2 more runs. The inning ended with the White Sox up by 5.
Noah started on the mound and had great form. He struck out the first two Indian batters but would load up the bases on walks. However, he would get himself out of his own jam by striking out the last batter of the inning. The White Sox were up 5-0 after one inning of play.
The Sox were not finished scoring runs and continue their aggressive hitting. Spencer would start things off with a rip liner to right field. Brandon would draw another walk followed by singles by Weston and Dylan. Danny would bring in a couple more runs with a double. Noah and Chelsea would walk and Mathew would knock a single to center scoring the Sox 5th run of the inning. The Sox were up now 10-0.
The Indians would go up and down in order in the bottom of the 2nd inning due to strong pitching by Noah and excellent defense by first baseman Danny. The Sox would add two more runs in the top of the third. Spencer continued with his hot bat with a double to right center field! Brandon would be walked and Weston would drive in a run with a hard single to center. Danny and Noah would walk but the inning would be cut short on a fine double play by the Indians pitcher Cooper who nabbed a hard hit liner hit by Jacob and doubled up the runner at first base! The Sox would now lead 12-0.
Though the Indians would start to get things going in the bottom of the third, their rally would be cut short by some White Sox defense plays. Danny at first base continued with his gold glove effort with making yet another nice play. The Indians would be held to only 1 run that inning!
The Sox would put yet another run across in the top of the fourth inning. Chelsea and Mathew would walk followed by John getting hit by pitch. Spencer would rip his third hit of the game to bring home another run for the Sox. The game would end there with the White Sox coming away with a 13-1 victory!
Game Balls would be awarded to Spencer for his 3 hits; Danny for his glove; Noah for his pitching; Chelsea for her hitting; Mathew for both defense and clutch hitting; Jacob for his clutch hitting and Chelsea for her big hit and day at the plate!

SOX TAME LYNX IN EXCITING COMEBACK!
CLUTCH HITTING & STRONG RELIEF PITCHING GIVE SOX EDGE!
Forney, Tx - The temperature was in the 80s when the White Sox and Lynx met on the field. Jimmy started for our White Sox and pitched hard but his control was not the best. Although he struck out the sides, the Lynx would still draw four walks and a hit batsman resulting in 3 runs. However, our White Sox came back with 5 runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning! Mitch led things off with drawing a base-on-balls. Derris laid down the perfect bunt single. Jesse and Nick would walk, Robert would reach on a fielder's choice that brought home a run. Jimmy would reach on a misplay at first base and Alex knocked in two more runs with a rip liner to left center. The White Sox led 5-3 after one inning of play.
The Lynx came back in the top of the second by tying up the game at 5. Once again Jimmy would strike out the sides but the cagey Lynx would score two more with drawing five more walks. The White Sox went up and down in order in the bottom of the 2nd inning with some fine pitching of their own striking out all three of our Sox batters!
Nicholas would come in relief on the mound and had excellent form and control. He struck out two batters but two would walk and one came across home on a fielder's choice. The Sox would answer back by tying the game in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Jesse led off the inning with a line double and with two outs, Jimmy would also rip a double to left center bringing home Jesse to tie up the game.
Nicholas continued his excellent form on the mound and the Lynx were shut down in the top of the 4th inning. The Sox had one more chance to take the game...
Alex led things off with a walk and would steal both 2nd and 3rd base. Chris would connect with a hard grounder to short where Alex would score the winning run giving the Sox the 7-6 victory!
Game Balls would be awarded to Nicholas for his fine relief pitching; Alex for his big hit; Jimmy for his big hit; Derris for his bunt single; and Chris for his clutch game winning RBI in the bottom of the 4th inning.

HURRICANES BLOW AWAY SOX!
WALKS
WALKS
WALKS MEAN RUNS
RUNS
RUNS!
Forney, TX The KP 11-12 White Sox met the Hurricanes for a Monday Night Game! The White Sox jumped ahead early with a run in the first inning. Jesse, Nick and Robert all singled and Jimmy loaded the bases by drawing a base-on-balls. However, the Sox left the bases loaded when Alex was robbed of extra bases on a liner to third!
The Sox pitching was a little off and had some troubles hitting the strike zone. Seven walks and a dropped on third strike gave the Hurricanes 6 runs in their half of the inning.
The Sox chipped away at the Hurricane lead by scoring another run in the top of the second. James walked and stole second base. Skylar walked as well and James would score on a fielders choice. However, the Hurricanes would score a couple of runs as in the bottom of the second inning on 4 walks and an error. Sox were now down 8-2 after two.
Jesse ripped a double to lead off the top of the third and would eventually score after a balk and a fielders choice. However, the Sox would leave another runner on base and trailed 8-3. The Hurricanes finished off the White Sox by scoring another run in the bottom of the third where the game would end 9-3.

SOX KNOW JACK!
BATS COME ALIVE! PITCHING STRONG! DEFENSE TIGHT! SOX WIN 9-4!
Forney, TX - A different Forney White Sox showed up at the Mulberry Park this past Saturday... confident and ready to play! As stated by the coaches, this game was going to be the start of the season... and what a start is was! Jimmy started on the mound and was in fine form shutting the Jacks down by striking out the sides! When the Sox came to bat, they came out swinging! Mitch led things off with a single followed by a perfect Sacrifice Bunt by Derris. Jesse, Nick, Robert and Jimmy all followed with line hits! Alex and Chris would draw walks followed by a single by James giving the White Sox a quick 6-0 lead! The Jacks were held scoreless in the top of the second. Jimmy continued with the heat fanning two batters and getting some fine defensive help in the field. The Sox would put two more runs on the board in the bottom half of the second inning extending their lead to 8-0.
The Sox held the Jacks scoreless once again in the top of the third with some fine defensive plays by Jimmy, Alex and Robert who nabbed a liner out of the air at third base. The Sox added an insurance run in the bottom of the third and the score was now 9-0.
Alex came in relief and did a fine job on the mound. He kept the game in check and with a strong defense behind him (himself making a fine play on a grounder hit back to him) finished the game giving the White Sox their first win of the season 9-4!
Game Balls would be awarded to Jimmy for a great job on the mound; Robert for his bat and his defensive plays at third base; Derris for executing a perfect sacrifice bunt; and Chris, who's fundamental defensive play in right field by backing up a wild throw in the second inning kept the Jacks from not only scoring multiple runs but stopped their momentum that inning! Fundamental plays rarely make the headlines... however, those plays are the plays that win ball games!

SOX TITANS BATTLE TO THE END!
SOX ALMOST THERE - TEAM READY TO BREAKOUT!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox played their second game of the day this past Saturday playing the Forney Titans. Noah started on the mound and put in another fine performance striking out the sides! However, the Titans would put one run on the board when Sox Fall-Team player Gabe tripled in a runner. However, the Sox answered back with 2 runs in their half of the inning! Brandon would lead off with a walk and come around to score on a hit by Danny. Danny would eventually score putting the Sox up by 1 after 1.
Both teams were held scoreless in the second inning and then both teams would bring home six runs in the third inning! For our Sox, Jonathan led off the inning with a hit batsman. Spencer executed the perfect bunt and would end up on third base on an over throw to first. Brandon followed with a walk and then Weston brought home two more runs with a line double to left center! Chelsea, Noah and Jacob would all walk and Mathew would rip a single to center that brought home the sixth run of the inning! Both teams would be held scoreless in the 4th inning. The Titans would break away in the top of the 5th inning with 4 runs highlighted by, once again, Gabe who tripled in two runs! The Sox would fight back and rally in the bottom of the 5th inning only to come up short! Brandon led off the inning with a single to left. Weston brought him home with a massive triple to right center field! Though Dylan would reach base with a hit batter, both runners were stranded and the Sox would fall to the Titans 12-9.
Game Balls would be given to Brandon for his fine job in his first game pitching; Mathew for his clutch single; Spencer for his excellent execution of a bunt; Jacob for a fine job in his first game ever to pitch and for taking one for the team with a putout at second base; and Weston for the hitting clinic that he put on!

SOX LOSE HEARTBREAKER TO LONGHORNS 6-5!
LONGHORNS RUN ON SOX WILD THROWS! SOX ALMOST PULLOUT UPSET!
Forney, TX - The White Sox met the defending CP League Champions and almost pulled out the upset of the year! The Longhorns (13-0) last season came out confident and ran on every White Sox overthrow or miscue. Danny started on the mound for the White Sox and performed very well with good control and good speed. However, the Longhorns jumped all over White Sox overthrows and quickly jumped out to a 4-0 lead. The Sox were shut down in the bottom of the first inning due to a fantastic catcher by the Longhorn center fielder that robbed Weston of an inside the park home run!
Danny picked up strength and confidence in the top of the 2nd inning and struck out the sides! Though Chelsea would single and Noah would walk, both would be stranded and the Sox trailed by 4 at the end of 2 innings of play.
Noah came in relief on the mound and struck out two batters. However, the Longhorns would take advantage of our White Sox aggressive throwing and put across another run. The White Sox then exploded for 5 runs in the bottom of the third to tie up the game! Jonathan and Spencer would both draw walks and Khaliya would get hit by a pitched ball. Brandon and Weston followed with walks and Dylan would bring a couple of runs in with a line single to left center. A couple of hits and a walk later would load the bases only to be stranded. The game was tied at 5 going into the last inning!
The Longhorns would put across another run with a couple of walks and scoring on another overthrow by our White Sox... costly mistakes! Weston would come in on the mound and close out the inning! Though Spencer would walk in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Sox would not score and the game went to the Longhorns 6-5.
Games Balls were given to Danny & Noah for great pitching; Weston for his massive liner to center (only to get robbed); Chelsea for her great hit; Mathew for an inning saving play at second base; and Spencer for an incredible inning ending play at home where he ran and met a Longhorn player (twice Spencer's size) at the plate only to tag him out after a major tumble!

SOX EDGE PIRATES 8-7!
GOOD PITCHING-PATIENCE AT THE PLATE & GUTSY CATCHER BRING SOX FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox, after not playing for 10 days, came out on the attack against the Forney Pirates. Brandon led things off with a single while Weston and Danny both drew base-on-balls. Dylan singled in a run and then Chelsea brought in two more with her rip single to right field! Noah, Jonathan and Spencer loaded the bases with walks and then John tore the cover off the ball with a liner to center only to be denied a homer by a nice catch by the Pirates center fielder. The inning ended with the Sox up 5-0. Noah started on the mound for the Sox and pitched well striking out a couple of batters. However, the Pirates would still leg a couple of runs across the plate to chip away at the Sox lead. After one inning, the White Sox had a 5-2 lead.
The Sox added another run in the top of the 2nd inning. However, the Pirate would grab the lead with scoring 5 in their half of the inning. Weston took to the mound and pitched great in his debut at pitching. His control was good and he would fan a couple of batters. Our Sox, however, made some key throwing mistakes where the Pirates would jump on. The Pirates led 7-6 after two inning of play.
The Sox took the lead in the top of the third. Noah, Mathew and Jonathan would all walk and Khaliya would double home a run with a double to left field. The Sox were up by 1 going into the final half inning of play.
Weston remained on the mound and he was in control. The Pirates would rally and load the bases but their comeback would be shut down on two consecutive plays at the plate with outstanding gutsy putouts by catcher Spencer!
Game Balls would be awarded to both pitchers Noah and Weston; Chelsea for a clutch hit; and John for his rope liner to center field. An actual game ball was awarded to Spencer for his gutsy never-give-up plays at catcher (especially in the last inning) that saved the game for our White Sox!

PALE HOSE A NO-SHOW IN PRIME-TIME!
LACK OF OFFENSE - WILD THROWS - LOSS FOR OUR SOX!
Forney, TX - Opening season woes continued for our KP 11-12 White Sox Friday night! Though the Sox did come out swinging and did connect several times, there was no real offensive attack and the throwing mistakes just threw the game to the Braves.
Jimmy and Jesse both drew walks in the top of the first but would be left on base. Jesse started on the mound for the Sox and had fine form and looked great! However, the Braves would draw some walks and would steal every chance they got! Combine the Braves aggressive base running with a handful of wild throws by our Sox defense and quickly the Sox would be down 3-0.
The Sox would put one on the board in the top of the 2nd inning. Alex led off the inning with a base hit and after a couple of stolen bases and a hit by Chris, the Sox were now trailing 3-1. The Braves were shut down with Jesse striking out the sides in the bottom of the second and the score would remain 3-1 in the Braves favor.
Though Jesse would line a ground rule double to right field in the top of the third, he would be stranded on third. The Braves would put two more on the board in the bottom of the third giving them a 5-1 lead! Nick would take the mound after Jesse exceeded his pitch count and shut down the Braves by fanning a couple of batters putting a stop to their threat!
The Sox would once again go scoreless in the top of the 4th inning that actually sealed their fate and the victory for the Braves. Though Nick continued to pitch very well in the bottom of the 4th inning, the Braves would tap a couple of infield hits just out of reach of Nick and combined those with aggressive baserunning and more wild throws by our White Sox... the game would end on time and the victory went to the Braves!

SOX LOOK GIFT HORNS IN MOUTH!
CAN'T HIT WHEN YOU DON'T SWING! OPENING DAY NERVES GET BEST OF SOX!
Forney, TX - The White Sox KP 11-12 (Senior Circuit) opened up their season Thursday evening against the Forney Horns (formally "Longhorns"). Though the White Sox came ready to play... they seemed somewhat nervous and timid and out of their game. Wild pitching, over-aggressive baserunning and not swinging the bat caused our Sox the game. On the bright side... opening day is now done and the Sox can go into game two with all the nervousness out of the way!
The White Sox led things off and threatened in the top of the first inning. Mitch was hit by pitch and Jimmy got on by a misplayed ground ball but the inning ended with the Sox being thrown out on the bases. Jimmy started on the mound for our Sox and had the heat going striking out 3 batters! However, the Horns did reach base with one batter and after a couple of stolen bases was able to score on a wild pick off throw to third base.
The Sox again threatened in the top of the second but again ended their inning early due to over-aggressive baserunning. Robert led the inning off with a Hit Batter and Chris drew a base on balls... but the inning ended with zero runs crossing the plate. The Horns would score three more in the bottom of the second without even touching the ball with a bat. Jimmy would once again strike out the sides... but his control would take a turn for the worse and would walk a handful of batters. After two innnings, the Horns were up 4-0.
The Horns pitching threw nothing but strikes all game! Their control was perfect! They gave the Sox plenty of good pitches to swing at... however, the Sox would go up and down in the top of the third. The Horns put the game away in the bottom of the third by combining a couple of hits with a handful of walks. Jesse came in relief and stopped the Horns rally with a couple of strike outs! The Horns ended the inning with a commanding 8-0 lead.
Nicholas started the top of the 4th inning off reaching first base on a catcher's interference. Though Mitch would reach first base on a fielder's choice and steal second base, once again the Sox would fail to score. Jesse would strike out the first batter he faced and throw out a runner on a bunted ball... but time would run out and the game would end with the Horns taking an 8-0 win!

SOX BITE THE BULLET IN SEASON OPENER!
MISSED OPPORTUNITIES - SOX STRAND 11 RUNNERS IN 4 INNINGS OF PLAY!
Forney, TX - The KP 9-10 White Sox opened up the 2007 Spring Season against the Forney Bullets Monday night. The weather was chilly and it did drizzle on and off during the game... but all in all, baseball was in the air... you can't beat fun at the old ball park!
The White Sox jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Brandon singled and would come in to score after a bases loaded walk to Noah. However, the Sox ended the inning and stranded the bases loaded. Noah started on the mound and quickly struck out the first two Bullet batters and retired the final batter by fielding a grounder and throwing to First Baseman Danny. After one inning of play, our White Sox were up 1 zip. Though the Sox would load the bases in the top of the second with walks by Dylan, Spencer and a single by John, they failed to bring any runs home leaving the bases once again loaded.
Though Noah began to bring the heat in the bottom of the second, he had trouble finding the strike zone. Danny would come in relief would strike out one batter, however, the strike zone seemed to be hard for our White Sox to find and after 8 walks, 1 hit batsman, the Bullets would bring 6 runs across without even hitting the ball. The Bullets now led after 2 innings 6-1.
The Sox would answer in the top of the 3rd inning with some sharp hitting bring home a couple of runs yet stranding two more runners on base. Weston led off the inning with a single and Jacob and Jonathan would draw a base-on-balls. Dylan would bring home a couple of runs with a line double to left center. However, the Sox pitching still had a rough time finding the plate and the Bullets would put 6 more on the board with 4 walks, 2 hit-batters and a couple of White Sox wild throws. The Bullets now led 12-3 after 3. Spencer, at catcher, did an incredible job stopping many of the pitches and giving 110 percent valiant effort!
The White Sox, however began to wake up and exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning before the game was called due to time expiring. Khaliya ripped a single down the third base line. John and Mathew followed with walks. Brandon singled and the Sox would bring home five and had the bases loaded when the game was called. Bullets would take the season opener from our White Sox 12-8.
Game Balls would be given to John for his first hit on his first at-bat (rope single to left field); Khaliya for her single down the third base line and Dylan for his line double to left-center.
Saturday, April 7
FASTBALLS, CURVEBALLS & SNOWBALLS?
Forney, TX - Our White Sox teams had the added pleasure (I didn't hear all the griping!) this past Saturday of snow with their baseball practice. Though the 9-10 KP Sox practiced through it (36 Degrees at 9am), their scrimmage game with the Royals was called off. The 11-12 KP Sox did have play their scrimmage game against the Forney Astros. Jesse started the game on the mound with Jimmy and Alex throwing as well. James went 2-for-2 and Derris singled in his first at-bat. Joshua, Chris & Mitch also toughed out the 40 degree weather putting in fine performances as well.

BOTH SOX TEAMS OPEN SPRING TRAINING!
Forney, TX - Both White Sox teams officially opened Spring Training this past weekend practicing both Friday night under the lights and Saturday in the sun at the Ballpark at Mulberry Park! New players meshed with the veterans ... this promises to be the best season yet for our Forney White Sox teams! Coach Troy and Team Manager Kaory join Coaches Jim, Robert and Richard on the junior circuit while the senior circuit picks up Coaches Randy, Robert, Cliff and Coach/Official Scorer Jeff and Team Manager Pricilla.

SOX PICK BIG IN DRAFT!
NEW PROSPECTS ADD TO SEASON EXCITEMENT!
Forney, TX - The 9-10 KP White Sox pic up Jacob, John and Khaliya in the Draft. John and Khaliya are new to FYA Baseball and Jacob, a school mate of Noah, played on the Coach Pitch Rangers last season. The 11-12 KP White Sox picked up six new prospects in the draft: James, Nicholas, Jesse, Derris, Christopher and Joshua. Derris, Jesse, Joshua and James are new to FYA Baseball. Nicholas played with the Rockies while Christopher played with the Red Sox.

SOX ACQUIRE EXCELLENT FREE-AGENTS IN OFF-SEASON!
PICK UP KEY PLAYERS / UNABLE TO SIGN A FEW!
The 9-10 KP White Sox acquired both Danny and Mathew in the off-season. Danny, who played with the Sox in the Fall, was an All-Star Representative of the Devil Rays last Spring. The Devil Rays remained in Coach-Pitch. Mathew took last season off to play soccer but did play on the Coach Pitch Marlins two seasons back! Mathew is also the younger brother of Mitch who currently playes on the 11-12 KP White Sox.
The 11-12 KP White Sox lost both Louie and AJ to Mesquite teams, Chase to the age-limit, Nick returned to the Draft and both John and Justin retired from baseball.
The 9-10 KP White Sox had their share of departures as well. Grayson decided to focus entirely on soccer while Andrew retired from baseball and Stone took the season off. Cameron G joined his brother Justin on the Knights taking Coach Don with him. Long-time Coach Jeff and All-Star shortstop Garrett sought out greener pastures and decided to play for the A's.
Thank you to Coach Jeff and Coach Don for all of your help and dedication with the White Sox. We wish you the best of luck (not on the days you play the White Sox, though...)
