Way to Answer Back!
Eastside Luggage starts the season with a two game winning streak. The second over Belmont Park by the score of 13 to 1. Belmont would take an early lead in the game by knocking in a run in the top of the first and was threatening for more. With bases loaded and one out, Daniel B stuck out the next two batters and ended that rally.

Eastside answered back in the bottom of the first when Casey started a rally with a lead off walk. After one out, Brandon took one for the team and Daniel B walked to load the bases. Matthew and Carter got RBI walks and Max drove in the third run with a groundout to first. Ben then reloaded the bases when he was hit by a pitch but they were all left stranded.

Jose started the second with a line drive triple that kicked up the chalk down the right field line. Dustin and Joshua both walked on 3 and 2 counts to load the bases. Casey came up and crushed the first strike she saw for a base clearing 3 RBI triple into center field. Ethem made solid contact and drove Casey in from third on his RBI groundout. Brandon and Daniel B went back to back with singles and Matthew drove in his second run of the game with a productive out. Carter followed with solid contact but his fly to center was caught to end the inning. Eastside was ahead 8 to 1.

In the third, Max walked to get things going. Ben singled and Daniel E plated Max with his RBI ground out. Jose and Dustin loaded the bases with walks and Casey got her 4th RBI with the bases loaded walk.

Daniel B started on the mound for Eastside. He pitched out of some wildness and a couple of errors by his team in the first. His team then found their gloves and made a couple of solid plays behind him. Casey alertly grabbed a foul fly before crashing into the fence down the first base line to end the second inning and Brandon snagged a line drive in the third playing second base. Daniel struck out six and gave up an unearned run. Carter came on in relief in the fourth and was very economical with his pitches. It was three up and three down on three strikeouts. Number of pitches thrown was just lucky number 13. Great job Carter and Daniel!

In the fourth, Brandon, Daniel B and Matthew walked to load the bases. Carter and Max forced two runs in with RBI walks of their own. Ben, who was hit by a pitch early in the game, battled the pitcher and lofted a fly to left center that enabled Matthew to tag up and score. Way to answer back Ben - with your bat! Great job team!
