Tacklin Fuel
State of the Force
The Force has gone through some rough times over thr course of the last year. The passing away of it's longtime mentor Dr. Kurt Smeby, and multiple player/coach deployments that depleted the minimum available numbers to field a team caused the Force to have to cancel all 2005 games.
Due to the steep deployment tempo, The force cannot field a team with adequate numbers to be competative in games against quality opponents. When world events change, the Force will be back to take on all comers. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
Force Coach takes the reigns at Norwich
The Norwich Devils announced in late September that none other than Force USA Head Coach, Chris Cantrill will now also be head coach at the East Anglian outfit. Looking to rebuild the team to their former glory days, Norwich decided to enlist the help and expertise of Lakenheath based Cantrill. A number of US airmen have represented the Devils over the seasons, including most recently our very own Dustin Skelton. Coach Cantrill coaxed a few of the Force coaches (Iain Ross and Charlie Butler)to help him build the team. Be sure to check back on the progress of Coach Cantrill and his Devils squad, or you can see firsthand at www.eteamz.com/norwichdevils. Players interested in becoming involved on the Devils team, please contact Coach Cantrill.
Tribute to a fallen hero
Force USA will dedicate it's first home game in to the memory of Pat Tillman, a one time NFL player with the Arizona Cardinals who walked away from football in 2002 to Join the US Army Rangers in the continuing war on terrorism. Tragically he was killed in action in the mountains of Afghanistan in April of 04. His memory serves as a reminder to all of our active duty players and the #40 will be forever held as a symbol of the ultimate sacrifice that many men and women have given over the years to provide us with freedom and the ability to play football.
