Force One 13U goes 2-1 highlighted by huge wil vs DC Assault (Mack)
In a tournament clouded by a protest by the Germantown Hardknocks, Force One showed class by ignoring all the hype and getting on the court and taking care of business. The weekend was highlighted by a victory over DC Assault in what many thought was the game of the day at the complex. Joseph Hampton completely dominated the game scoring 24 points grabbing 11 rebounds and adding 5 blocks to his padded stats. "He was amazing" said guard Alex Gamble. Joe normally having to fend off the officials from calling ticky tac fouls, he was albe to keep from committing fouls and dominated. Alani Moore scored 18 points and dished out 7 assist as well as grabbing 5 rebounds. "He was the normal Alani tonight doing everything we asked of him and making big play after big play" said Coach DePollar. Force one led by as many as 13 early in the second half 41-28. Late in the 3rd quarter DC Assault caught fire and tried a box and 1 on Alani, thats when others stepped up big. Isiaiah came up huge with 2 corner pocket 3 balls and Jalen Christian added a few huge buckets down the stretch as Force One pulled away late in the 4th to capture the win 64-56.

Referee calls an early end to the Force One vs DC Assualt Game with Force One Leading 44-42 with seconds to go.

Wow! What an intense battle between the 2 power houses of the Spring Force One League 13U division. Joseph Hampton led a balanced attack as 5 players scored at least 7 points. Force One led the entire game after jumping off to a 21-12 lead. Assault answered with a 11-0 Run of their own to lead 23-21. Joseph Hampton scored to tie with a nice move in the lane and Alani Moore nailed a huge 3 to take a 3 point lead into the locker room 26-23. The second half was all Defense as each team bogged down and got stop after stop. The game went to overtime 42-42 and ended after the first overtime still 42-42. In the second Overtime Alex Gamble came up with a floater in the lane to take a 2 point lead with 30 seconds left. Force One had 4 fouls to give and committed one with 17 seconds to go, which led to a contreversial continuation call giving Assualt an oppurtunity to go to the line to shoot 2 in which it should have been a non shooting foul. Nevertheless two fans from the two opposing teams got into a verbal confrontation that turned ugly. The referee blew his whistle and called the game. Who won?

13U Force One gets revenge vs Coach DePollars old team the Maryland Flames winners by 15

Alani Moore led all scorers with 14, and Joe Hampton and kyle DePollar both scored in double figures as Force One held a 10 point lead throughout most of the game. Winning by a final margin of 15 points the game was never really in doubt. The 1 Two puch of Alani and Big Joe proved too much for the Flames. When this team puts it all together the leauge watchout! The team only shot 2 for 11 from the 3 point line and won by 15."They key to the big win yesterday was getting the ball out and running" said Kyle DePollar. "They could not stop our speed."

After the forfiet in week #1 13U Force One moves to 1-1 in league play, and will face a talented 3 time defending champion Coach Mack's DC ASSAULT team next. Should be a true test for both teams. See highlights from this past weeks game at:

Stallings had a workman like day as his leadership qualities are starting to peak as the 12U point guard for Force One. 12U Force One now 3-0 sole possesion of 1st place in the leauge with 3 wins all by double digits.

Force One Makes Noise in Team Richmond Tournamnet

12U Team

Force One took the trip south to the Team Richmond Tournamentcoming up 1 game short of the finals. 12U team was victorious vs Team Takeover/Hoop Magic of Va. In an eight oclock morning start, Force One started rather slowly, but used their inside presence to pull away late as they held off a well coached team 37-36. On to the 2nd game vs New Generation. Force One went back and forth the entire first half with Joe Hampton leading all scorers in the first half. New Generation led by thier quick guard play pulled away and won 47-36 in a game that was closer than the score suggest. Joe Hampton led again in scoring. On to the next one! Force One needed to win the next game by a minimum of 12 points over the Maryland Bulls in a game where many didn't even have Force One winning let alone beating the Bulls by 12. Force One executed perfectly and beat up on the Bulls by 15. Force One finished 1st in thier pool.

Force One lost in the Semi finals to DC Assault 35-32.

Dont count this young group out as they are talented and deep.
