FORAN LIONS 21 GUILFORD INDIANS 20
C.J. Haven scored twice and the Lions held off a late comeback by Guilford for a SCC victory.
The Lions (2-0) led 21-7 at halftime behind two rushing touchdowns from Haven and a 75-yard pass from Tucker Schumitz to Ricky Festa.
Matt Hoey scored twice for the Indians (0-2) and Brendan Six's 8-yard touchdown pass from Brian Dinse put Guilford within one point with about five minutes to play. Festa blocked the PAT kick for Foran to secure the win.
Schumitz completed 18 of 27 passes for 201 yards and also added 16 carries for 144 yards for the Lions.
