BULLDOG PASS BLOCKING

Full slide protection or 3 step protection.
Be aggressive, lateral slide-call side T or TE half kick or kick slide.
Both backs block away from call.  Place helmet inside the defenders play side knee.  Punch hand outside of knee.  Keep feet moving.  Flat back until D-line collapses. T or TE kick slide step cover rusher do not lean.

Power set:  Is an initial set step for inside aligned defender.  6”
power step- slam foot in the ground as you move laterally to defeat
the defender's move.  Inside rusher inside foot. The power step is a aggressive move,  but you must stay square and under control.  Maintain post stagger and use your hands.

Kick Step: Quick lateral drop step in order to cover rushers.  Must
establish a good post stagger pointed toward the goal line

Half slide- 5 step and Play action pass

PST- MAN ON/OUTSIDE(WIDTH) KICK OR SLIDE STEP
PSG- ON/INSIDE (POWER SET) DRIVE AND DROP BUTT
C- BACKSIDE GAP (KICK STEP)
BSG- BACKSIDE GAP (KICK STEP)
BST- BACKSIDE GAP (KICK STEP)
FB/TB- RESPONSIBLE FOR STRONG SIDE ILB & OLB

Free man-loose ground (head on swivel)
Slide technique- keep post foot pointed towards goal line.

3 STEP SET UP
1.  Step-loose ground at a 45 degrees w/outside foot
2.  Bring inside foot under base
3.  Widen base with outside foot
4.  Set with slight shoulder turn- Post foot to GL

OFFENSIVE TACKLE
Visualize imaginary line 6” outside of outside foot
Do not allow crotch to cross line in pass pro
Do not turn shoulders until 3 1/2 yards deep
Step and drag- Keep foot on the ground
