COMFORT FIT
Purpose:
To teach players that the game is played from the
ground up, by learning to bend at
the knees, ankles, and hips. To play
the game in the proper football position, with the feet
firmly planted into the ground.
Equipment:
NONE
Procedure:
Line players into two or three lines by position. Have
players fit into technique
with a partner. Walk through
and check fit position.
Coaching
Point:
Run Block:
Head up, butt down, knees
in over toes, chest over
knees, and heels out. Get
players used to placing their body weight on the inside
1/3 of feet.
