Kenny Marella - Our #1 Fan
The Flyin’ Hawks would like to acknowledge our #1 Fan - Kenny Marella. Kenny has been the team’s bus driver for several seasons. He is a consistent source of motivation and praise for our athletes. He often takes time off from work to attend our meets. As a token of our appreciation, the Booster club presented Kenny with a personalized chair for hom to use at the meets. Kenny responded with the following remarks:
"Thanks to everyone for making me always feel so welcome and encourage my presence. It is a great thing just to be around such good people, dedicated and focused kids. Thanks to all for the totally awesome chair, Mrs Hita, I can't wait to show it off. I truly miss seeing everyone weekly, and look forward to running in to all the CC>> kids and people in other places and activities at BHS. Thanks a ton!" ~Kenny

Quilt Auction Winner
Thanks to Phyllis Campbell, Olivia’ grandmother (Valorie’s mom), for donating a quilt to be auctioned as a fundraiser for the 2009 Flyin’ Hawk Cross Country season. The auction raised several hundred dollars that directly benefits our program. The auction’s drawing was held at the cross country team’s end-of-season banquet. The winner of the auction is Willis Speck. Congratulations Willis! Thanks to all of you who purchased auction tickets.

The middle school cross country program is now in full swing - please support their programs and encourage them to participate in Birdville’s cross country program.
