In 1993,after retiring from Major League Baseball, Chet Lemon started Florida AAU Baseball with one mission, to provide a quality baseball program for all with the only criteria for competition being age. We continue to exceed our expectations and in the year ending 2003 we have over 11,000 players and coaches participating throughout the state of Florida.
Due to the wonderful weather in Florida, our members are able to participate in baseball programs year round. A typical Annual Schedule would be:
Labor Day Weekend: Wood Bat National Championships,
Fall League Play: September Thru November,
Fall Classic Championship Tournaments: November,
Winter National Championship Tournament: December,
Coaches Meeting and Banquet: January,
Spring League Play: February Thru April,
Presidents Tournament: February,
International Qualifier: March and April,
State Championship Tournaments: May,
National Competition: July and August
In addition to the above mentioned events, there are several Invitational Tournaments held throughout the year around the State.
