Southeastern Region Umpire Clinic and Alumni Association Messages

To all Umpires and future Umpires,

We are getting ready for the 2015 Little League Season to start next month. Leagues are having their Opening Days on various weekends throughout February and into March.

The Leagues look to us, as Umpires, to officiate their games and spread our knowledge to coaches and parents who are asked to umpire and fill the void when there are not enough of us to take the field. We need to get out there and help our Leagues recruit and retain umpires, from the youths playing the game to High School baseball and softball players to the parents and grandparents and others waiting to be asked to be a volunteer.

What better way of setting an example to those who look up to you than being the best you can be. With that in mind I want to remind you of the Southeastern Region's upcoming Umpire Field Mechanics Clinic the weekend of February 6th - 8th. Bring back to your League and the game you will officiate, the best training you can get from the best Little League Region in the World.

Below is the link to register for the clinic your choice of 60' mechanics or 90' mechanics. Rates will go up after January 30th so please join me at the clinic and register now to save $10 and let me know that you are attending. I'm coordinating a car pool and hotel sharing to save on additional costs.

Please pass the word on to anyone who may be interested in this excellent training session to join with me as I attend these classes.
