FLORIDA DISTRICT 17 LITTLE LEAGUE

Welcome to Florida District 17 Little League.  We are proud to serve 11 Leagues in Indian River, St Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties.  We are proud to serve Challenger Program, within the District and is run by our Martin County North League.  Florida District 17 now truly has something for every child.  If we can be of service to you, please contact one of our District 17 Staff members.

 SLBB will start their finals on the 2nd of July.  The 2015 ALL STARS ARE GETTING FIRED UP.  COME OUT AND ROOT FOR YOUR FAVORITE LEAGUE TO REPRESENT THE DISTRICT IN SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT. 

Congratulations to PSLN's LLSB team for being the first team to win the District All Star Champion title and the chance to compete for the Section II title on the 18th of July @ Sportsmans Park.

FL D-17 BLBB PHANTOMS WON THE  S-2 TITLE LAST SUNDAY AND WILL REPRESENT THE DISTRICT IN THE FL STATE TOURNAMENT IN FT LAUDERDALE ON THE 9th - 12th of July.

next presidents meeting is Tuesday, June 9th 2015.  all presidents are required to attend.  One major topic will be TOC results and ALL STAR Tournaments.  If the league President is unable to attend, please notify Dewey Hudman, give him the name of the representative that will attend in your place.  This meeting will require 100% representation of all Leagues, NO EXCEPTIONS!

This is a Banner Year for District 17, as the majority of our umpires recommended for Upper Tournaments have received Regional appointments.

District 17 wants to congratulate the following Umpires for their selection to Southeastern Regional Tournaments and World Series.

Alan Berson (Southwestern PSL LL) going to Southeastern Region Little League Baseball in Warner Robins, Ga.

Ray Vos (Southwestern PSL LL) going to Southeastern Region Intermediate League (50/70) Baseball in Apopka, FL.

Tom Green (Port St Lucie National LL & District 17 Staff) going to Southeastern Region Senior League Baseball in Safety Harbor, FL.

Jeffrey Miller (Martin County North LL & District 17 Staff) going to Southeastern Region Junior League Softball in Fort Myers, FL.

Anthony McGhee (Vero Beach Softball LL) going to Southeastern Region Senior League Softball in Fort Myers, FL.

Joseph Clark (Southwestern PSL LL) going to Southeastern Region Big League Softball in Fort Myers, FL.

Southeastern Region Umpire Alumni Association

SRUAA

We are currently forming the Southeastern Region Umpire Alumni Association. If you have been an umpire during any level of a Southern (pre-2003) or Southeastern Baseball or Softball Region Tournament, we would love for you to join the association. There is NO FEE to join the association. Our focus with the association is to recognize and form a brotherhood and sisterhood of volunteer umpires who have been a part of a Southern or Southeastern Region Tournament. SRUAA MEMBERS ONLY: Receive a 10% discount when registering for any region umpire training program. SRUAA membership number must be entered during registration. Mission Statement

The Southeastern Region Umpires Alumni Association is dedicated to the promotion of volunteer umpiring and the preservation of its traditions of excellence in education. The purpose of the Alumni shall be to enrich the fellowship of those umpires having participated at regional level Baseball and/or Softball tournaments and work to promote the betterment of volunteer umpires in the Southeastern Region.
