For the upcoming 2010-2011 FYHA Season

The Fishers Youth Hockey Association is committed to the continuous teachings of the fundamental skills of hockey.  While we are looking into incorporating USA Hockey's ADM (American Development Model) into our practice plans, all of our division: Mite Majors, Squirts, PeeWees, Bantams and Girls will continue to play full-ice games.

ADM:  Is a program that stress skill development into its practices in relationship to the biological development of its players.  Meaning, that as our players reaches different levels of maturity, maximum development occurs with age-appropriate physical and mental skill. These skills are to be designed as a building block as they move up in each age division.

The Fishers Youth Hockey Association is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth in the Fishers and surrounding community with the opportunity to participate in recreational youth hockey that promotes and encourages physical and character development in sportsmanship, teamwork, self-discipline, and leadership.
************************************************************
The Fishers Youth Hockey Association was officially established in 2004 and is currently going into its 6th season.  It is a not-for-profit organization that is run by volunteers whose goal is dedicated to the growth, development and enjoyment of the game of ice hockey. Our season runs from October to March with practices and games at the Forum at Fishers Ice Rink.
While FYHA relishes the tremendous support from The Forum at Fishers Ice Arena and its staff, it is not run, nor has it ever been run by The Forum at Fishers Ice Arena.  The FYHA pays for the ice time that is jointly scheduled with the rink.  Current fees for the past and upcoming seasons are solely based on the cost of ice rental, referees, jerseys, socks, equipment purchased for teams and administration fees associated with the organization.  Feel free to contact us at info@fishersyouthhockey.com or call 849-9930 x103 or contact one of the Board Members. Board Member information can be found at the "Board" tab.
