FIRST METHODIST BASEBALL
Welcome to the home page of FIRST METHODIST BASEBALL, an outreach program of the First United Methodist Church, Fort Smith, Arkansas since 1955. Under the direction and guidance of Dr. Ted Skokos, for whom Skokos Field is named, First Methodist began what became the Fort Smith Church Baseball League (FSCBL) with four teams playing at Lions Club Park (now known as Forsgren Field). The first four coaches were Dr. Skokos, Robert Jones, Jr., Delmar Edwards, and Lee Dunham. In 1957, two additional churches joined us to begin FSCBL. Our youth minister, Herschel McClurkin, served as the first league commissioner in 1958. From that first season with 69 players, FSCBL has grown into a program serving over 80 teams and 1100 players.

Check the schedules at the Fort Smith Church League website (www.fscl.org) and click "SCHEDULES". Our teams are all indicated as FM with the coach's name.
Come on out to the Church League ballfields in the 1500 block of Old Greenwood Road and cheer on our teams. You are guaranteed to have fun; and the players and their families will truly appreciate your presence. THANKS FOR SUPPORTING FIRST METHODIST BASEBALL!!!
