This is the Website of the "New Jersey Fire Hawks" Baseball organization of Pequannock NJ. The team was first formed in August of 2002 by Team Manager Rich Maloney and Coach Blynn Jennings. As of the Spring of 2004 the team is coached by Rich Maloney and Carlos Santiago Sr. In 2005 Bob Jurewicz joined our organization as assistant coach.

The baseball club was incorporated as the "Pequannock Fire Hawks Baseball, Inc" in July of 2003 as a non-profit all volunteer organization for the charitable and educational purposes of developing and training of amateur youth baseball players. See the "About Us" button for our By Laws.

Pequannock’s Ryan Maloney to Rutgers

Ryan2009

Senior Ryan Maloney, first baseman for Pequannock Township High School baseball team will attend Rutgers University Business School in Newark this fall and play baseball with the Scarlet Raiders under the guidance of Coach Rizzi.  Ryan, who was accepted for early admittance to play baseball for three local universities, selected Rutgers University over FDU Madison and Ramapo College.  It was a difficult decision to make because all three schools offer quality education.  Ultimately it came down to which school would be the best fit for him academically and which campus he felt would best fit his social life style as well as athletic needs.

Dave McMorrow and Ed Jenisch, Ryan’s Senior American Legion coaches  state that Ryan Maloney is hands down one of the best  first baseman in the area.  Offensively and defensively he is by far the most intense baseball player around, he has a great swing and approach to the game of baseball.  He is constantly looking for ways to improve we wish we had more baseball players with his enthusiasm and commitment to the game.  Dan Gilligan his personal trainer for the past 8 years  at the Academy of Pro-players, Hawthorn NJ states that he swings a bat with confidence and has an awesome power swing. Over the past two years he has been progressively hitting the cover off the baseball. He is ready to compete at the college level.    We wish him the best of luck playing college baseball.
